WHEN WE FIGHT THE WORLD ALONE

Greetings in Jesus:

When we fight this world on our own we will almost always loose in some way. There are so many physical things that we can be snared by that it is impossible for us to stay without temptation, and as long as we can be tempted it is very easy for us to be overcome.

For a long time I have been able to stay away from temptation, but the only way I have of doing that is to stay very close to Christ.  I have to constantly ask God for help in getting through a day even today because of the addictions I have to life itself.  Each one of us have our own favorite verses that help us to stay closer to God, but when we are all alone we need the company of other Christians around to help us to stay strong.  It is never a matter of quoting scriptures to one another or even praying together that helps the most, but sometimes just being together with others of like precious faith can help us stick to our guns and overcome.

I am finding that in the Thursday night Bible studies we as a group of men are beginning to open up to one another in ways that no one ever thought they could.  Instead of being in the prefab boxes we have all built for ourselves on different subjects we are finding an ability to open up and become a part of the answer for each other's lives.  That same kind of thing needs to happen now for the women of the gathering...the  Lord is starting to call all of us to a deeper and closer walk; not just with Him, but with one another as well.

There are a few promises that we need to make to ourselves as people in this life.  This is not just a determination that men make, but this is for every Christian today:
To be so strong in Christ that nothing can disturb our peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to everyone you meet.
To make all of your friends feel there is something worthy inside of them.
To think only the best and work for only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about someone else's success as you are about your own success.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the achievements of the future.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you don't have the time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of depression.
To think well of yourself, and proclaim it to the world not in a loud voice but in Spiritual fruit.

We cannot fight this world alone, and there isn't any of these things I have mentioned that we can produce by ourselves.  We need one another, and together we need Jesus Christ our Lord.  I pray that you have a great day today...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
