SETTING THINGS STRAIGHT

I have often wondered what it would be like if we each one could read the others minds in conversation, but each time I mention that I get a look of shear horror in the face of those who consider it. Simply even by giving people the benefit of the doubt it would seem that most of us cling desperately to the idea ad privilege of thinking one thing and saying another to someone.

Each one of us have come to a very uncomfortable cease fire agreement when it comes to our realization that God can and does read our thoughts from the intent of our hearts.  Many times it is that which we have buried so deeply within us that we ourselves no long consider it to be a lie or perhaps an attitude that needs to be dealt with in our life.  For many of us it becomes a daily battle to maintain a realistic view of who we are in Christ when we continue to bury things from one another.  The point is here that we are not hiding anything from God in the first place, and as long as we continue to keep secrets in the way that we really feel instead of working things out with those around us everybody looses...including us.

In an effort to bring us into a state of Unity in Christ one of the big areas we need to deal with is how we really feel about what we say we believe in.  Once we make that statement in our lives we can then either seek to make changes accordingly, or perhaps be taught a more perfect way to handle the issues we have.  For a great many people they can't even say why they don't speak their mind about their faith and beliefs in life.  Even when we are within a group of people who support our views there is a tendency to not speak up or ask a question for some unknown reason or fear.

I know that we have a tendency to always feel that others views of us may be critical, but that also leads to less chance of ever healing wounds that are created between us and others sometimes within our own mind.  Can we just start out at least by being honest with ourselves about what we believe in our heart? that may make a big difference in our relationship with one another.  Then we can begin to study the word together about these various things because while some have a scriptural background there are many of our beliefs that come from other sources so it is time to set things straight...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
