SET IT DOWN IN FRONT OF YOU
Greetings in Jesus:
One of the biggest problems I have had in my Christian walk is in completing a task from any given point to it's end. The reasons for that are really rather simple 1. many times I get distracted from what I should be doing, and I forget what I had decided was the best way to always approach tasks that I started to work on. 2. because of a fear of failure in the past, I have often listened to someone else's opinions rather than go with what my heart tells me. 3. I have often allowed myself to loose concentration and conviction about what I know is right, and what God wants from me.
I believe that within each one of us is a given task that God wants to use us for, but that we have to seek after in life. More than anything else I believe God wants to know what we are willing to strive for in life, and that often means the things that we would naturally be doing for our own pleasure in doing. If we are given a gift of love to share with others it should be given freely from the heart.
I often have to take the time to inventory those things that I feel God has placed within me to use for the biggest of His requests of my life...The awakening of the Bride of Christ. All of the others things that I do should point to that one single goal and if for some reason it is not then it is time for me to sit all that I do and love down in front of me to evaluate it's worth to my life. In general if I am being lead away from the direction that God has given me to go in I will see pattern changes in what I concentrate upon. I may be spending too much time in something that does not make progress toward the main objective of my life. It may not be something bad or sinful that is causing me problems...just a lack of concerted effort on my part to do God's will in a day or two. It is funny how this life works; you are either building something up, or you are watching it slowly decay in front of your eyes; there is nothing that stays the same for very long because of the nature of death to any created thing. We have an uphill battle in anything that we do in life that needs to be sustained over a long period of time. The daily race that God's word has us running is such a creation. Within it we are trying to sustain a level of energy and growth in Christ to get our souls through the constant death and decay we live in...that's hard enough, but when we add the need to help others as well it becomes a fight sometimes to maintain. Know yourself and know what your heart is about what God is asking from you. Pray about things and allow yourself to meditate on what God is saying to you...and always may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
