DYING FOR AN UNJUST MAN

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

I have been feeling somewhat scattered lately in my thoughts because so much is going on in the world around me that seems so dangerous to all of us that it becomes hard to focus.  When that happens many times I know that I am in for some late night or in this case early morning sessions with writing these blogs.  It is about 3:30 a.m. right now and my mind will not allow me to rest so that's when the Lord and I get together many times to talk  over the issues at hand.

I have been having dreams about these small undeveloped bodies of believers which have been popping up around in our communities lately.  These don't seem to be developing because of evangelistic efforts in the communities as much as from the needs that people have to somehow find a connection in fellowship that is not currently being found within the existing churches. Many different home church groups have begun because of these people cannot relate to what they see and hear.  There is a huge part of that which is due to the desire of men and women to take control of their own worship and praise of God.  It seems like our Christian music has taken the same route as any other type of music in that is being boxed and sold as a commodity to make money with instead of being used and developed for the Glory and praise of God.

We have some choices when it comes to dealing with the world around us. First of all is our mindset toward those whom God has called us to reach out to.  How are we looking at those around us who are not plugged into a church somewhere?  I remember the words that Jesus used about the attitude of dying in the place of someone else. He said " almost no one will die in the place of another; however some might consider dying in the place of a very good or righteous man, but never would they consider dying in the place of an unjust man".  Today we have a huge number of people within the influence of the  church who are very unsatisfied with what they feel inside when they attend a church service because many are not connecting with God at all, and I believe it is because we have stopped teaching people how to share themselves with one another.  When we can no longer see and feel the genuineness of someones word, or hear a personal testimony of what Christ has done recently in a life like the ones we struggle with each day it is easy to begin to grow cold to one another.

It gets harder all of the time to find examples of people who have found an answer in Christ as they struggle with many of the same things that we do in our lives.  More and more people are starting to turn toward a smaller circle of people that they feel they can trust in life...people who share much of what they have in their own lives.

As Children of God we must be open to do what ever it ttakes to open our own lives up to those people who so desperately want to see change in their life and yet cannot relate to someone who is never REAL  about their own life.  I want to take the time to deal with some thoughts on what it takes to be real people to those who are searching for a relationship with Christ in their lives.  It is certainly. more than a fake smile and handshake in our church services or times of fellowship; and we need to be real about the fact that nothing is "DOING JUST GREAT" all of the time!  We need to learn how to share life with one another, and especially with the unjust man.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
