STARTING A FIGHT WITH EVIL
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
There no doubt that we are already in a huge battle as Christians to simply maintain our rights to pray or even speak of Christ and His salvation in this country but if you really want to be in a fight with evil just stand in the way of a Liberal point of view today or stand against political correctness few times and the war will be brought to your doorstep! The fact is that this has already been made clear by Christ Himself in the very first message that He delivered to those gathered at the Mount of Olives sermon.
It is the nature of evil to try to destroy what is already established as good. Simply put God establishes the truth and Satan comes to tell us lies about what that truth means. The enemy will very seldom face any truth from God head on, but instead offer some counter belief that makes us feel that we will have a greater control and advantage spiritually if we stay away from the full truth from God's word. The message that Jesus came to deliver was straight and very simple; we must accept and believe what God has already told us about His plan for our salvation, and we must go through with the process through Christ's sacrifice of our sins. The other thing that we can be made certain of is that we will never fight alone. The battles will always be waged in a Spiritual warfare with tools which God has given us to use. These are not small tools to use in combating evil either there are just as huge as the problems that we face. In fact the forces that we use to do battle with are far greater in strength than we can ever be in this life, and it seems almost impossible that we can use such force through our spiritual gifts, but we can as long as we are in God's will to do so.
These agents that are used for these battles are angels that are put into our command to be used through our prayer and intent of Heart in Christ Jesus, but they only show up in times of great need that the glory of God might be shown. I believe that most people have a wrong image of the gifts that God manifests in us from time to time. Even in prayer and in healing there needs to be a reason for someone to witness it to be drawn to God through His Spirit for it to take place. I do not believee that God just goes about healing people through prayer or through one person. It is a spiritual gift that should be used for the glory of God alone, and yet so many times we miss use it to show others that we may possess a gift and therefore elevate ourselves above others...that is the wrong intent of heart.
I can do no more than raise in the morrning at God's calling and thank Him for another day that I could be used to witness to the world around me that God has done great things, and will continue to do more as I faithfully follow His Son Jesus. Are you ready to pick a fight with evil? May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
