LIFE IN THE SPIRIT OF GOD
greetings in the name of Jesus:
Afer all is said and done our complete hope, faith and life must rest in the promises that God has given to us within His word, but we must continue the process of living within His word to receive those promises.
Once we realize the situation we are in of not being able to do anything on our own to change our eternal condition apart from hiding ourselves within the sacrifice and blood of Christ we can then look at the life we are living with new eyes; spiritual eyes that show the truth of our situation in this world. I think what Paul wrote in Romans 8:5-8 says it the best: " Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires, but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The minds of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law nor can it do so. Those who are controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God." The fact will always remain that we cannot be within God's Spirit and live according to our own measure of what is right and wrong any longer because that measure is flawed, and it cannot be fixed no matter how hard we may try.
The truth is that we have a free spirit in Christ that is protected by the love of Christ for us. When we think about that in our own natural mind all that we can see is the fence of protection that is provided by God. Once we come to Christ we will find that there is really no restriction on our soul at all! we are free to move and be who God has created us to be. The only difference is in our ability to see the world around us through new eyes and to be warned beforehand of the evil that lurks in every corner of this existence.
My friends this life is nothing like what it is portrayed to be by nature and law of this physical world because this life is only temporary; it is not meant to be a permanent part of our creation. This world and all that we see around is here for a purpose, and that purpose is that we can make a decision about our relationship with God. We are allowed to run as free as we want to in this life inside of the protection of God's love. We have to make that choice, however, to be in God's protection and plan for us. We can all be free in Christ in this way; that we love God in the same way that He has loved us. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
