MAKING MATURE CHOICES
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Our lives are balanced by different things both in nature and within our spiritual makeup, but even though we are all so different the most amazing things we need to wrap our minds around is the fact that none of us process things in a way that God cannot understand or relate to. This is one of the reasons that God does not want us to fall away from our relationship with Him. God knows that if we ever separate ourselves from Him we will fall into patterns that will continue to drive us further away from God.
We have many different views about the ways we feel about what it means to have a mature attitude about what experience, but if we base our lives in Christ we will have the same Spirit guiding us as we deal with life. What that really means is that by allowing God to be a part of our decision-making processes we have a perfect version of Spiritual guidance at work in us as we reason through things that come up in life; it is like having a perfected version of our own thought process at work within us when we plug into God's Spirit. God can and does relate to all of the various patterns of thought that we can have because every pattern of thought is in some way created after His own thought process...He thinks in the same ways we do and can relate to all of the patterns of thought we can have all at the same time! I don't think we understand at all what God views our becoming perfected in the spirit really is; He is not changing us to become someone else, but simply perfecting who we are right now.
Making Godly choice does not mean that we do away with our own thought processes, but instead those thought processes we have become clearer and more easy for us to understand. Our transformation is not a process of making us someone we are not, but making us the best that we can possibly be; the most perfect version of ourselves possible.

We can go all through our lives trying to figure these things out and be developing our own theories about what someone else is writing, or we can allow God to take the very best parts of who we already are and make them mature and wise in His Spirit by transforming our mind and heart so that we think, reason and act as mature people of God. We have the chance to get out from behind the thoughts and ideas of this world to become who it is that has designed us to be.
What wouldn't we all give to be able to be proud of the decisions and thoughts we have? We can, but only by stopping our fight against God's Spirit teaching us and taking the needed control over the ways we approach life.
Hebrews 5: 11-14 says it best: "We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk being still an infant is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature who by consistent use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil." We may all try to act mature as we deal with one another, but since we cannot read the truth in the hearts intent behind what we do and say it is almost impossible for us to know the true feelings behind what drives what we say and do, but God always sees that true intent of heart. While we may fool others into thinking we are wise God sees the silliness behind our great wisdom. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
