THE HARVEST OF THOSE WHO ARE SET ASIDE
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
When it comes down to setting aside our lives to be used for the cause and purpose we have been created by God we not only have things to do, but we have to approach these things with the right frame of mind. I believe that we need to have a singleness of mind in order to put ourselves in a place where od can use us. Our focus must always be on the goal, first of all, to do God's will for our lives no matter if it is just us or for others around us.Hebrews 7:4 " Wherefore my brethren you also became dead to the law by the body of Christ; that you should be married to another. even to Him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God."
In order for us to be set aside for any special service to God, we must first seek a release from the bondage of this world. It is not our physical death to this world that looks for, but it is our overwhelming desire to have and possess things; to have the power and control over others, and to hoard unto ourselves the comforts of this world instead of sharing that God really desires us to die to, and that is more of a spiritual death that otherwise binds us to this physical place. It becomes more of a death to the desire for what has proven to be a very temporary life in exchange for what God has promised us to be an eternity with God.
In every way, God wants to set our lives aside for His Kingdom. It is we who must align ourselves with God's word, however, and that means that we must also be in alinement with the hearts of those who are of like precious faith. In 1 Corinthians 1: 10 it tells us " Now I beseech you brethren, by the name of Jesus Cthere would be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."
What this means is that even though we may each one have a slightly different view or belief that we follow in our worship of Christ we still all have the same Father and serve the same Savior. The only perfect joining that we can hope to have is the Spirit of Christ with one another. We cannot allow our personality differences to get in the way of our service to God. We must all come together under one basic foundation of teaching that has been already established for us through Christ; which is the good news of salvation through Christ.
We must allow the Holy Spirit to be our teacher at all times even when we are under the instruction of someone in Christ whom we trust. Everything we hear that needs clarification should be brought to the word of God to be straightened out in our heart; otherwise, we take a risk of adopting something that we may think or feel that is not completed according to the foundations that have been given to us. We will find a constant need to come back to the word of God for clarification in the teachings that we receive, but that is a good thing. The Harvest time is right upon us even now, and we must be ready. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
