SPENDING TIME IN THE INSTRUCTION OF GOD'S SPIRIT
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ:
A time always comes in each stage of life when changes are made in our purpose, and God's Spirit is calling me to do that sort of thing within my work in these blogs as well. With that in mind, I would only tell you that I feel a strong urge to push more toward the witness and the teachings of God's Spirit from within us than to listen to and cling to that which is being openly taught within many churches today.
The reason I advocate such a thing is that I know that we can always come back to the instruction and the clarification of God's word on our own to find the truth, but if we begin to listen to another voice that makes us feel good about ourselves and in essence takes away all of the necessity for us to continue to strive to meet the commands that God has made on those who claim to love Him we will very soon find ourselves adrift from the foundations of our faith in Christ, and under the influence of yet another man or woman's opinion of what truth is; which is a dangerous place to be in.
I genuinely feel that we are in two of the final stages of mankind's final approach to destruction by being in both the age of information and the age of great deceit at the same time. All that we have to do to prove the truth of that statements is to look around us for a moment or two. That evidence continues to grow when we compare what we see with the things that we should be experiencing from God's word in Colossians 3: 12-14 " Therefore, as God's chosen people holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with one another and forgive whatever grievances that you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord has forgiven you, and over all of these virtues put on love, which binds them together in perfect unity".
I am hearing some of the greatest spiritual teachers of our time refer back to the teachings of God's Spirit having been promised to us in these days through the outpouring of His truth through God's word, and the faithfulness of His people in the last days.. This tells that the signs that we are told to watch for in scriptures that are to help us to avoid the hate and evil of this world are no longer coming in the future, but these signs are here and now. The various men of God are tuned into what these signs mean and they are warning us to heed these things...
My dear ones I am an old man now, but I can see the wisdom in what these men of God are telling us and while we can still react to what they are saying before these storms come we must prepare for such things. We need to cling to the things we read in scripture while we can. It is my prayer that you will take heed. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
