PUTTING EVERYTHING UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF CHRIST

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

God speaks to us in words that cut straight to the heart when He deals with His authority over us as He says: " What is a man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for Him?  You have made Him a little lower than the angels, and you have crowned Him with glory and honor and put everything under His feet."  As we visit  Hebrews 2: 6-8 we find God speaking to us about His authority. Verse 8 goes on to say: "  In putting everything under Him, God left nothing that is not subject to Him. Yet at present, we do not see everything that is subject to Him. But we see  Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned honored with glory and honor because He suffered death so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone."

In truth, God is trying to give us the most perfect human leader by providing Himself for us in human form.  Even in the most simple act of perfection we still need God because we will fall short of any perfection.  God has given us the most perfect leader through Jesus Christ who not only leads us but demonstrates for us how to strive for perfection.  Jesus Christ has modeled for us the way to stay close to God, how to search and seek God's favor, and He invites us to imitate Him in His lifestyle.

It is through His willingness to be our perfect sacrifice in that He has shed His own blood for us, and has died for the forgiveness of your original sin debt that He has the right to rule over us.  It is Jesus who has conquered death for us by breaking the grip that death has had on us when we accept Jesus as our Savior.

The book of Hebrews spends a great deal of time in showing us the greatness of Christ over anyone who has ever come before Him; even unto the establishment of the foundations of the world. Hebrews is a great book to read through when looking for the claims and power of Jesus over all of this world.  It gives us all of the reason why we should choose Christ over any part of this world to put our faith into.  Jesus is the only one with the credentials to serve as our high priest; our advocate, and our Savior.  Today He still reaches out to us with the hope of belief in His promises to us.  Unless we can have that faith in the word of God which has never failed us then we have no hope for the future.  I pray that we will continue to seek after Jesus for the answers to our lives.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
