NOT IN OUR OWN WISDOM
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
We desperately need the loving grace of Christ Jesus in order to have growth in God's Spirit but in finding that place of growth and health we must pay close attention to the things that the Holy Spirit is telling us about life. Hebrews 2: 1-4 " We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord was confirmed to us by those who heard Him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders, and various miracles, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will."
We not only have the right to testify to this salvation within our own experience in life, but we are commanded to be witnesses to what the Holy Spirit has done within us... This is not nor has it ever been a situation where we are called on to use our own judgment in the matter of witnessing to the light of Christ at work within us, but light the light that has been set upon the hill it should be seen from all directions in our life as a beacon to all who see us.
Just like this lighthouse, we should shine from every angle possible to share what it means to have His salvation in our life.
We must pay close attention to who is watching us from a distance as well because most of the time we never really know those whom we are influencing the most in life. We may never see the time when our influence causes these people to adopt our philosophy of life, or in an unseen moment become discouraged to the point of breaking because we may have led them to make a false conclusion about their own worth or purpose in life. Everything that we do is done with a purpose in Christ, and not a self-designed purpose. We truly and indeed are no longer our own to command, but now belong to the cause of Christ who has become the very life that we breathe.The time grows ever shorter for us to make a difference in this life but the power that is within each of us as a child of God is more than enough to change the hearts of men; all we need to do is allow God to shine in us in the way He has created us to reflect Hid love and power for others. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
