WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO GOD?
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Can I ask you a very important question ? This question will not have the same answer for everyone of us because of our priorities in this life. If you are a solid believer in Jesus as the Messiah and your Savior this question will cause you to answer one way, and if you are determined to keep control of your religious life your answer will probably be different. The question is this: WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT TO GOD; HIS LOVE FOR YOU, OR YOUR LOVE FOR HIM?
For some that may seem to be a trick question, and it can be answered with a good solid reason for the answer either way, but only those who are allowing the Holy Spirit to help them will get it right; and for good reason. We all know that God first loved us , and if He had not first loved us there would never have been a way toward salvation made for us, but even more important is why God loved us and what it is that He so desired from us that He would do what He did to offer us salvation.
One of the main areas that has been so bombarded by this world's deceit has been the idea that we should be so important to ourselves first before anything else. We have put us and ours before anything else because of the need for constant need for safety from the many dangers that are always there. In today's world the average Christian may answer that the most important thing to them is their family before they even really understand what the entire question really was. That is because without thinking we tend to put self first almost always today, but the question was "What is the most important thing to God?" and without any doubt it is our love for Him.
You see the issue really does become how we are viewing our relationship with God, and what the importance is to us in getting as close as we can to Him as this world continues to deteriorate and die. We already know the lengths that God has gone to show us His love, but now the question is no longer does God love us enough, but it becomes " Do we love God enough?" I believe the answer to that question is behind the very reason we are put in this life and on this planet.
The answer to that question will determine our eternal future, and our very salvation in the end because unless we can have the same kind of loyalty to Christ as He has had for us the relationship becomes false. Believe me when I say to you that God already knows the truth about how you really feel on the inside about Him. God is never fooled like we can fool others around us because He knows and reads the very intent of your heart in all the things that you do and say.
In a very big way God stands in front of you today asking you how much do you love me? What would you be willing to do for me to show me your love right now? I would think very carefully what your answer will be from your heart about what you say to Him because when really confronted with the truth of that we either have some work to do on our relationship with God or we may be called on to demonstrate how much we really do love Him. Now thaat you know what is the most important thing to God; what will your answer be? May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
