HOW CLOSE TO GOD'S EAR DO YOUR PRAYERS GO?

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

It may seem strange to ask such a question as "How close to God do you think your prayers go?" but in truth, I have a reason for asking that question.  We have been taught most all of our lives that God hears all prayers.  Especially those which cry out to God for salvation; and yet I have also come to realize that once we do cry out to God in that way and when He answers our plea He will wait to see how much we have truly meant what we have said.

I don't believe that God has any real reason to believe anything that we say; at least not at first, and then not until we have developed a relationship with Him that is trustworthy.  It is for that reason that I also believe that some of the prayers that we may offer to God may not get any higher than the ceiling of the room we are sitting in when we pray.  The life that we live here is chucked full of checks and balances with God in full control and so when we begin to try to play the same games with our relationship with Him that we so often play with others around us we will always be caught by Him; even when we don't realize we are.  Our praise and worship of God is our duty to a loving and a forgiving Father who has proven in the most real way how much He loves us and wants a relationship with us. God does ask that we be truthful with Him in what we say and do, however, and that means that our promises to Him are just as important as He is to us. Like any other relationship, God builds up trust in what we say if we are honest in our communications with Him.

I have found that honest anger with what is going on in our lives is just as important as approaching God in complete love.  God is certainly not afraid of our anger, but His concern is in our truthfulness with what we say and do.  We have all known people who have been one way to your face and then as soon as our back was turned would say something completely different to someone else.  When we find out about those things and what these people did our relationship with them changes from one of perhaps trust and friendship to one of mistrust; which will take some time to mend.

God is looking for us in the purest sense to be the created spirit that we should be.  He looks past our faults, but He doesn't ignore our truthfulness.

God will still not allow anything but perfection that you will begin to start the process of honesty into His Kingdom and while we can never be perfect physically we are still on the road to be perfected Spiritually. God wants the part of us that He created to be the closest to Him, and He will do anything for us that is necessary for us to be able to dwell with Him in the Kingdom.  Our part of that process is to be honest and loyal to His love.  When we pray we must seek God with our whole heart and mind, and He will fill in the blanks for us.   It is my prayer that you will start the process of being what God needs from you, and that in that effort you will be honest with yourself about the things you may be trying to hide from God and even from yourself.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
