THERE IS A PLAN FOR US
There is a time and point for all people when they have to face the fact they are no longer small children, and that they are themselves responsible for what they do. As a body of believers throughout this community we have come to that point. I am including this entire community in that statement because we are all a part of one body in Christ no matter where we may attend services on a Sunday morning.
For longer than most of us can remember we have played a game of control over the power that God's Spirit has wanted to us within us as the church that has continued to separate us from one another. This is mostly from churches allowing people to just go to the places where they feel comfortable with the kinds of messages they receive that do not cause them discomfort or push them too hard to in making any kind of final decision about their loyalty to Christ or their true belief in God. I don't blame the people for that...I blame the leadership of the churches for that!
The reason I say that is we have gotten away from that singular message from Christ Jesus of simple salvation and growth in Christ. I believe that we ...and I include myself at times in this have concentrated on issues that confuse people in their need to simply imitate what Christ has shown us to do in our relationships with one another and with God the Father. As a body of believers we no longer prepare ourselves for worship through prayer as a body on Sunday mornings. I see very few groups of people who are coming together before the service to really pray, and release those things which have them bound so tightly to this world that they cannot even concentrate on Christ. I am not seeing a concentrated effort to all say the same things to people when they ask a question about life because we are all trying so hard to be seen as knowledgeable men who can put their own spin or experiences at work when the word alone will do.
God is calling us to simplify our approach just as the Apostles did from the beginning and bring the simple message of God's Plan of Salvation to us. We no longer view it as a Plan but as an iron clad contract that we have been freely given...but that is not what God said. Jesus came to die for the sins of the world, but only for those who truly believe that He is who He says He is and is sent from the Father. IF is one of the biggest words in the human language, and that includes any tongue spoken. God tells us IF we will call on the name of Jesus and IF we will repent and turn from sin then He has a plan for us to be adopted into His family. This plan however is not free after we accept it, because it will take our entire life of growing and producing fruit of His Spirit who lives within us. We are to continue to run that race that is set before us, and to help others run along side of us as we travel through this life. It is not a race for a single winner, but it is a race of endurance which can only be given to those to complete the course. Dear ones this puts us all together in the same position as we struggle to stand under this worlds hate and sin. It is my prayer that you will stand with me as conqueror's over death. I love you all with every breathe in me...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
