IS YOUR LIFE A SPIRITUAL PLACE...OR A SPOOK HOUSE?

I am finding that unless I take measures to worship God in Spirit and in truth...much of what comes out of me is more like a Halloween Spook House to the world around me.  There are so many brands of religious conviction in this world that it isn't any wonder people are completely confused.  We say there is only one truth and one life, but until we lock in on what that one truth is we will likely confuse even ourselves about what God is trying to say to the world through us. I know a lot of Christians who can take the word out to the world to a point, and then they all get lost in what they are doing because they have only been taught about Christ and not shown.

When it comes to really demonstrating Christ to the world around us ( which should be the most simple part of our faith) many people show mostly how it should not be done.  We tend to say one thing while all the time we live something else...and to the world that comes off as a lie.  The only way of correcting that is to show an example of how the Christian deals with his own failure to live out the words of Christ he claims to believe in...that is to apologize to the world and then ask forgiveness from Christ all at the same time right there publicly.  It might be pretty embarrassing at first, but then just like training any child you are a child of God, and that means you are taking the opportunity to self correct  right in front of a world that may otherwise doubt if what you are saying to them is true.  That kind of correction can literally save your witness.

People are looking for the truth today, but they know that for the most part they will not find it in most people.  People in general have a tendency toward lying...even Christians, so why should any one believe us?  They need a reason to believe that we really do have someone at home in our spirit house. For so many of us the light is on, but it does not appear that anyone is home.  We need desperately to change that, and it starts by allowing people on the outside to see our communication with God on the inside.  In particular the kind of things that we know we need to change need to be changed in front of the world for them to see that God is at work within us.  As we get further into this week perhaps we can deal with more of these areas.  All of our lives are in some way counted as a witness to our personal belief, and walk with God.  Are you believable?  I pray you are...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
