THINKING ABOUT TODAY'S CHURCH

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

We have been talking all of this year about the views and starting of the first church, but now I believe it is time that we talk about the last Church...that is us!  What is it that we will do as Christians in these last days before His return?

I believe in many ways we have had a kind of defeaters view of how we should stand and wait for God to make the next move when all along we have already been given our marching orders, and we know what our view should be on life...it is just that we not had the will or courage to stand for what the Kingdom of Heaven represents.  There are many Christians out there who like us believe strongly that we must give an account for our faith if we are to be counted among the citizenship of God's Kingdom when He returns.

What we must do to prepare for the event of giving an account for what and why we believe is to have a strong enough experience with God.  For each one of us there must be a deciding reason for us to really believe in God and that He is who He says He is. I just fear that for many Christians even though they do believe...they don't know why they believe or how to explain that belief in God to someone else.

For my own life I have to have more than " I know that I know that I know" before I can show that belief to someone else with any kind of intelligence at all.  My belief in God must be based on a personal experience that I have had with God that convinces me that He is real to my life, and that means that I must test God's word for myself.  That is exactly what God has asked us to do from the very start...to test His word for ourselves.  Now that does not mean to find out if God is real "ask Him for something" and if He grants the request then He is real...it means to test His word and His promises to us.  It means that we need to really begin to seek after God for things that are meaningful in our lives, and then see how He is providing for those needs everyday.  It means that we have to open up our mind and heart to receive what He has already given to us , but we have been too self centered to realize.  We need to realize that God has already loved us first, and that the love He has given already trumps everything that we could offer in return...it's just that we have to experience what that means first in our life before we can explain it to someone else..

The question is "Do you really know God?...and can you really explain the love that He has given for you?"  If you cannot answer that question then it means that you have not yet fully experienced God for your life.  You cannot give something to someone else that you do not have yourself. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
