WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE A SPIRIT FILLED LIFE?

GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:

The Spirit-filled life is never easy to achieve.
In fact, I have heard it described as the most difficult thing that some have ever tried to accomplish, but one of the greatest achievements in life.  One of the first things to realize is that we can never hope to achieve anything Spiritually on our own.  One of the biggest parts of that is to consider ourselves dead to sin according to Romans 6: 11, at the same time be alive to God.  This can only be done through our commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord of our lives and then placing Him on the throne.

We must consider Christ to have all power in Heaven and in Earth, and then accepting Him as a part of the God-head of all creation.  When we do these things Christ's power through the Holy Spirit can, and is felt through the loving heart of the Spirit-filled life.  It isn't until we give Christ His rightful place in our heart that we can begin to think God's thoughts and feel His heart within us.  Our faith actually becomes God's faith within us  God's heart rules our heart and His will begins to take over our will as we give more of who we are to God to become transformed.  It is much like the possession we hear and read about what happens with evil in the heart of men, except for the fact that it is from God and not self.  I don't think that we have been taught well enough the fact that we will either serve God or we will serve Satan in this life, and if we say that we choose to serve self we are only fooling ourselves.  We cannot serve both God and Mamon at the same time; because we will love one and hate the other, or cling to one and reject the other.  God created us as a kind of "FREE AGENT" as far as our will is concerned.  He created us so that we could openly choose what we wanted the most in our heart for a reason  God will not go back on His own creative law once He has made a decision.  If we were not with a free will we never give a perfect love as His child and in God's family we must be perfect and Holy as He is perfect and Holy.  While we can be perfected spiritually our will remains our own choice.  It is the one thing that we must give to God as a love sacrifice for what He has done for us.  It is that one thing that stands us apart from the Angels in Heaven and has put us in the journey that we are now on in making a choice for God. to either rule or not to rule in our life. The Holy Spirit will not share us with any other spiritual presence who claim Christ today their lives are too rooted in this world to allow God to rule or even dwell with them

We have allowed ourselves to be tied to this world by the things that are around us, and there are so many things that are such a big part of that which we have never even considered.  Most of these we never talk about, but they all deal with our own failure to let go in some way. As an example, we have never let go of our own feelings of importance. We hold on to the idea of the love we have for human praise. with the feelings, we have of anger and impatience, self-will, stubbornness, and unteachanility.  While we never mention it we have a compromising spirit that allows the negative and jealous disposition of life to creep into our daily lives.  It brings with it lustfully, and unholy actions like dishonesty, unbelief, and selfishness.  Each of these things are the first fruits of this world and not of God's Spirit at all. Those who are dominated by the lust of worldly things think only of those things that are sinful Romans 8:5.  In this chapter, Paul tells us that if we have Christ we no longer bound by this world, but we must seek to allow Christ the chance to begin that change within us.  Sometimes it can be a long and difficult process but I can tell you from first-hand experience it is well worth the efforts.  I pray that each of us will use what God has said here to strengthen our will to never conform to the will of this world, but become free in Christ.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
