WHAT DO YOU STAND FOR?

GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:



    For a long time now I have been of the opinion ( much like the rest of the country ) that I should not get myself involved in politics or in the mess that has been created by this world around me.  With the latest controversies that have been dragging in some very spiritual and very deeply personal beliefs about good versus evil I no longer feel that I can simply sit on the sidelines and hope that it all turns out according to the good that is inherent in men,  Frankly I have been seeing less good in the hearts of men every day in this  country, but I still feel that is because so many of us are sitting on the sidelines waiting to see what happens.

 We have been told in no uncertain terms that we are being set right in the middle of a world that wants us dead and gone so that it can feel free to continue its history of lying, cheating, and hatred unabated, and unquestioned by anyone who stands for good or for God's favor.  In all of that mess, we live in on a daily basis we are told to pitch our tent and occupy until Christ returns and claims a final victory over this world.  The concept of our occupation is reduced so far to standing or sitting in a corner as we cower waiting for permission to breathe.  I don't think as Christians that is what is meant by our occupation of this world until He comes.  I rather think that we should change the situation that we are in for the better by our influence over those who are prone to listen to anyone who seems to know what they are doing at the time.

  Dear ones this is an age of accountability in our Christian lives.  It is a time when we should not only be living in this world but also changing the world to represent what we believe in.  While we are seeing the result of people getting fed up with the character of those we have elected to do good things for our country. The cowardice and the gluttony of those who have lost touch with reality in the world by making themselves first and stuffing their own personal coffers with our money have gone on unchanged for too long.  We have been told by many who know the true power still lays with we who vote them in that if we want something different then we must do it through our vote.  I believe that is the first place we need to start in a practical way of doing God's will in our lives.

  I am not a political person who will stomp and scream at something I don't like, but I am a man who will stand and give an account of what and why I believe we need so desperately to reclaim the values of the country we all love and the freedoms we have been given by the Godly men that started this country.  I fought and served with many others in our Nations defense, and I feel that while we must show gratitude to the men and women who serve it is even more important for us to maintain a country that they feel proud to serve.  We are all as Christians in that same battle with them to preserve the values we have been given.  Those things are very much under attack today which makes it our war as well.  I feel that we should worry about nothing, pray about everything, and stand for the Christian values of our God and Country by praying for and voting out those whom we see are not working for those same values we have. I pray that you will think about this seriously before this coming election comes.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
