GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:
I have been noticing a lot of pot-holes developing in the road before us as we walk on our spiritual journey together. While it is becoming easier for me to spot these things that come up and loom in my way to either cause me to stumble, or even fall into altogether, there are dear friends of mine who do get caught in traps like that and it is always helpful for someone to use their personal light to shine in that pathway to help them see more clearly. In
1 Peter 1:18-25 Peter writes about the fact that there isn't anything that we can use of this world to secure our salvation. We have had generations of emptiness passed down to us from this way of thinking that somehow there is a physical connection to be made between God's grace, mercy, and our salvation, but nothing of real value is found in this physical world. Just like our own very temporary life here, these things will flourish and then fade away in the demands of time. The thing that we don't realize is that we are slaves to the sin of this world, and we are in a great way caught up in that temporariness when we are without Christ. That one of the great pot-holes in the road for us. We so need to keep our eyes on the road in front of us, always watching for the various opportunities that God gives us to be used of His Spirit.

The Holy Spirit of God reaches out to us even now as we grow, flourish, and even die as time and nature have intended for this life to be, but we who are created in the image of God do not have to stick to a road filled with pot-holes intended to give us constant grief. We can avoid those things through the wisdom of God's Holy Spirit leading us. If you find yourself in a pot-hole then take my hand and let us pray together. If you are stuck He will pull you out, and if you are walking in darkness He will be your light source so that you won't stumble into another pot-hole in life. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
