BEING HOLLOW INSIDE

GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:

I have been fortunate in my life to be able to tap into the power of God's Spirit over the last 30 or so years of my life. That has not always been the case. I can remember times when I could not feel God at all. For me, those were the scariest times of my life.  They were times of my own personal weakness and times when I have felt the most hollow.

I find even today if I go for any time at all without reading the word or praying my spirit starts to get that feeling of hollowness again, and I am forced to find a place and a time of solitude and meditation.  We are all getting ready to go on a journey together where it is going to get more difficult for us to find that time and space to be close to God on a personal basis.  This world will push for more of a public and corporate worship of God and less personal worship.  In fact, there are many of us already caught up in that thought pattern. Let me ask you a question...how many of you pray and read the word during the week for your personal growth and relationship with Christ?  Do you gladly skip along during the week until an hour or two on a Sunday morning never thinking about things like God?

I have to ask myself questions like this all of the time just to stay sharp spiritually because I know that the enemy is looking for any way to bring me down.  I believe that is the reason that Jesus spent so much time in prayer as a man because He was under constant attack as well.  I had a minister friend once who told me that if I had not been there the church would not have lasted a year...my job at the church was to keep everyone centered spiritually, but even though they seemed to have things together spiritually as soon as I left it started to fall apart; but it wasn't because of me not being there, but because the Holy Spirit  did not remain in charge.

We desperately need to understand how important the control of the Holy Spirit is to our personal success in this life; not just as a part of a church, but as a Christian in general. We do need to consider exactly where we are right now, and where we are destined to be at some point.  That destiny is of course judgment by God on some level either as a friend, family member or a foe to Him.  It is time that we took a much closer look at this world and what is offering us in the place of an eternity with God the Father.  Are you hollow today?  If you then keep coming to this blog each day and keep praying with me.  We will face this together in the name of Jesus.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
