TAKING THE TIME TO LOOK THROUGH GOD'S EYES
GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:
For the most part, we as Christians are only starting to wake to what God's heart really is when it comes to what, and how we share the testimony of our salvation with others. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 has a greeting from Paul that opens up a whole new discussion about this when it says: "Praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort that we ourselves have received from God."
Our reaction to trouble in our lives changes from person to person. While one may become depressed and withdrawn, another may be brought closer to God. During Christ's crucifixion, the leaders of the Synagogues pleaded with the Romans to not put "King of the Jews " as a nameplate on the cross John 19:21. Even during the Exile of the Jews from Egypt the views of what was going on differed in the people from the leadership that Moses was called by God to deliver to them. All during the time that God was taking care of food and water in the forty years of wandering through the desert, those blessing went unrecognized by the people. It was so bad in fact that none of those people ever made it to the promised land, including Moses.

Just like the people of Isreal at that time we tend to miss out on the obvious blessings that God gives to us because we are too busy in complaining about what we think is a misfortune to see God's plan being fulfilled in our life. We don't have to commit sin directly to miss out on what God is trying to say to us. Moses struck the rock in the desert out of frustration at the incessant complaints of the Jews for water. Because of that outburst from Moses, he was never allowed to see the promised land personally
So what is the right attitude to have? According to
1 Corinthians 10:13 God will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able to withstand, but it tells us when we are tempted God will provide a way out for us. Romans 8:28 tells us that all things will work together for good for those who love God, and who are called to His purpose.
Romans 5:3-5 shows us that these things that we suffer in life should produce perseverance, character, and hope. Hope does not disappoint because it pours out God's love into our hearts by the power of the Holy Spirit. We can see that tribulation has certain results in the Christian life. As an example James 1:3 that result become perseverance. We need to be able to recognize these blessing that God bestows upon us in time when we are being beaten down by life. Hebrews 12:6-11 quotes a passage written by King David in Psalms 94:12. It says:" My son do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those He loves and punishes everyone He accepts as a son." That scripture goes on to explain further the discipline of God. The truth in all of this is that we need to change our attitude toward this discipline and toward the slings and arrows thrown at us by this world. We must trust in God's view of what is going on instead of thinking that we have the answers personally. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
