JESUS PROMISED THE DISCIPLES THEY WOULD RECEIVE POWER TO WITNESS

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

The work of the Holy Spirit marks the beginning of the Church of Jesus Christ, and that power from God has given us the ability to witness to a world in a very remarkable way; but do we understand what that is?

Our real command is to wait for the power of the Holy Spirit to guide us as we witness to what God has done for us.  Simply put as we are giving ourselves over to the power of God in our lives that witness will become even more amplified and powerful...even to the point that the result will be incredible!  The reason for that is simple as well...we have allowed God's Spirit the control over what we do and say; He will have worked through us in the way that He has explained our witness should be.  The Spirit of God will then begin to drawn those to Himself toward salvation, and then we have another part to it as well...we should be there to minister to them.

As much as we would like to think that we have to learn from God, or memorize scripture in order to answer questions that might come up... it just isn't so.  What we do and say should be led by the power of God's Spirit within our lives.  As we speak God should be able to speak through us to others.  The words we use or the manner that we speak has little to do with how well God can use us.  We need to realize that the actual ministry we are involved with is God's ministry through us, and not work that we do through God.  The power and the influence of our witness is directly tied into our relationship with God, and very little if any influence that we may have as people is even involved.

I am personally very grateful for this revelation in my life because I can quite trying so hard to be good for others, and concentrate on being close to God.  The Father has promised to do the rest " Keeping our eyes upon Jesus and walking on the water".  You see my friends it isn't what we can do, and it isn't what we should do that matters, but it is our relationship with Christ that leads us into a good witness.  Usually when I am doing my best witnessing in Christ I am not even aware of it because I am concentrating so much on just living my day in Jesus.  There are always others watching you...so you really don't have to make a lot of noise about who sees you.  The Lord will continue to lead you into one divine appointment after another throughout your day, and you will be blessed.  It is my prayer that our daily lives will take on this new attitude of witness and life.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
