ALWAYS POINTING TO JESUS
Greetings in Jesus Name:
One of the most difficult things for us as humans is to always bear witness to Jesus as being the sole reason for our success and our advancement in life...after all we do have some brains and ability don't we? The truth is that even in all of our own achievement we would have not have anything at all if we didn't first have life.
Our most precious thing given is not what the world is selling...it is not a product that makes us feel better than someone else. It isn't a look or a feel that temporarily causes those who have been brainwashed by the social system to envy us until the next trend pops up. The real gift is that of life and love that only comes from God. This tells me that in truth all things that are real are mostly intangibles given to us by a loving Father in Heaven who simply is showing us He cares for us. The rest in my own mind becomes like smoke and mirrors because once we have reached a place where we thought we would have success and happiness there is always a different place to go that looks better.
Some people have held on to the journey that we take in this life as being the most important thing we have...in part that is true because it is what we take with us through our experiences in this life that makes us who we are as people. Moreover I think that it is the decisions we make and hold on to that really matters. In the first church decisions were made daily that would have been life and death to people; they were all about their beliefs in Christ as Lord of Lords. I have looked closely at such statements made by Christ as " It's not what goes into a man that defiles him, but what comes from a man that defiles him" as being much more important than people have given it to be. That journey that we all share can be much more important if we take seriously what that statement means. There is much in life that we take into is that is dealt with easily. We discard most of what is not relative to our lives, but we take some things deeper into us to judge and decide upon. We always talk about taking in evil, but very rarely do we speak about taking in God in various forms. Remembering that it is not what we take into us that defiles us, but it is what we allow to come from us that defiles us; we need to be very careful about anything that we let linger inside of our hearts and minds for very long. It is that process of judgement we are using to make decisions on these things that matters the most. How much of God's Spirit is helping you with those choices? That is our biggest issue in always pointing to Jesus in the inside first so that what comes from us is always from God's presences within. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
