HEALING THROUGH A SCARED HAND
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
There is no doubt within my mind that God is who He tells us He is, and that because of that we need to make a very important decision about our stand of belief concerning eternity. I have studied now for the greatest part of my life both the pros and cons of this conviction. I am right now 67 years old, and I am certainly preparing for the final stages of my time here. During my time living in this world I have tried most of the things that lay claim to fun experiences or thrill rides. Most in some ways are simply made of of lies that only lead to some form of regret later in life. I am not saying that you should not do these things because the experiences I have had, and the memories from them have still caused me hours of great memories; but they have also given me great regrets.
Life itself teaches us that experience is the only real way of learning about things, and most people want to hire someone who has had experience doing whatever they want to hire you for. There is a real difference in those who have had practical life experience and someone who may have studied it in book form. I hate to have to tell you this but that is also true when it comes to spiritual matters. The heart and mind of someone who has been allowed to experience the pains of life are often also very understanding of those things that hold us back from any true confession and change of our lives in a relationship with the Father.
We all need those around us who have been tried and tested in the field of God's service...especially we need those who have lost battles. It is the scared, and battle worn who have the knowledge we need to avoid falling in the way they have. We need to really listen to these people not because they failed, but because they survived, and found their way back to a relationship with God. There are many casualties in this effort to live out God's will in life... there are many who when they fall never have the strength to rise again. There are many who have fallen and made it back to their feet who did not do it alone...they had help from someone else who had fallen before them. We are lucky as a church body to have so many who have scars from failure, and who have the strength to continue to stand alone...even to the point of now being able to help you back on your feet after a fall. Take advantage of the kind of heart that is willing to reach out to you, and understand what you are going through. None of us will ever make it through this life without some failure, and difficulty in life, and that is why the race that we run is one of endurance and not speed. That is why we need each other so much in making our way through the many entrapment's of life. I thank you Lord for the many many people whom you have sent to me to pull me back out of death and sure defeat . We praise your name for all of those whom you use on a daily basis to lift others out of situations in life that seek to destroy them. Now I pray that you would continue to use me and those who have joined me here for this quick word of love to them. May we richly bless God through our lives in Him. Amen
