SPIRITUAL WARFARE

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

For a great many years now I have been experiencing Spiritual Warfare.  I can say without much doubt that what I mostly fought against before I made a final and permanent decision to follow Christ was nothing more than general temptation because the enemy already had me in his trap and was just involved in maintaining temptation on my weakest areas and then producing great guilt...I believe I was giving him great enjoyment.  When I made a decision to change things in my life and try to come closer to God is when the real war started.

No matter if we want to admit it or not we are all caught up in this trap of the world in one way or another. We are either fighting a war to break free from the things that are holding us back from God or we are caught in a whirlpool of temptation and sin that seems impossible to get out of.  Either way, we are in a war for our survival.  I am sure we have all heard of the idea of wolves in sheep's clothing.  Unfortunately, that is the scenario that is being played out today throughout the church community.  One of the biggest problems that we have today is the deceit factor.  It is not just in the world, but it is in particular found in the church today; for a very good reason.  It is the one place that the common man goes to seek truth and wisdom from God.

I want you to know that most of those who are teaching and preaching the gospel on a daily basis are true to their calling in God's Spirit, but there are a few wolves out there as well who are tickling the ears of innocent people with things that have never been in scripture about the ways God works.  This is usually centered in some way around money or an investment into God, and that would be great if it really were an investment in God, but I can tell you these things look one way from a distance and another way from close up.  Jesus has warned us to not be deceived by these false prophets.  This week I want to discuss the idea of Spiritual warfare and what it is really doing to us as a child of God.

Each one of us have some kind of warfare going on in our lives right now. The only way we can handle this kind of bombardment is to had the battle over to God because He is the only one strong enough to make things right again.  We are simply not strong enough or big enough on our own to battle against the world that we are in.  It takes time and practice to be able to see the difference between living in our will, and allowing God to live through us.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
