LIVING BETWEEN THE ROCK AND A HARD PLACE
Greetings in Jesus:
I don't know how many have considered this... but we are all living between the rock-hard truth that God is real and the decision that we must make about our choice about accepting His Good News message of Salvation. For a great many people that becomes the hardest place of all to be in. If we find ourselves in a place where we cannot accept the truth of God because we are living in a kind of fake worldview we are going to have an extremely hard time dealing with not being able to handle the problem on our own.
The whole idea of being between a rock and a hard place is that we are being forced to make a decision about something that we may well have been riding the fence about for a very long time in life. That seems to be a part of the character change that Jesus wants to see in us as we are supposed to be growing up spiritually. God knows that if we grow slowly and out of the rock-solid truth that He provides for us we will never be in a situation of change in our foundation. The ground under our feet will never shift on us, and we will never get caught in the world's disasters like so many others who simply go along with the crowd mentality. The very essence of why we are here in this life form right now is to make a decision about God, and so I guess this whole life we now are in is a situation of being in between a hard place and a rock. As time goes on we are seeing more and more the demand for character changes in this world. In most cases, the business world is finding it harder to do business without cheating someone in some way. The demand that we "Go along to get along" is getting impossible for any good man to ignore.
Each step that we take in this life is bringing us closer to being squeezed into a proclamation of what we believe, and that is the purpose of the end times before Christ returns. In our churches, there is a weeding out process being seen. God's Spirit is already beginning to separate the sheep from the goats; the weeds from the full grain, and by the time the real tribulation comes things may well be settled as to who among us really believe God's truth and those who are playing a part. The problem will not lay in who is bad or who is good in this life, but rather in who has made a decision to give all they are to Jesus Christ. The word tells us that there will be many who have proclaimed God in their life but who have actively worked against Him. It does not matter what position they may hold in a church community or what proclamations they may have made. The real truth is to be found in the transformation of their heart, mind, and soul through the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Dear ones I have no doubt that each of us is going through some very hard things in this life already, but I want you to know it is all about endurance with one another. We may not be able to run fast, but we can still move forward. As our life progresses we have a duty to love one another as we lov ourselves to the point that if we need to help another person get back on their feet to continue the race or perhaps even carry them for a distance so that they might gain strength in their limbs enough to stand again, then that is what we do. It does not matter how much time that may take either because it may slow us down for a time until we can find someone to help us carry the extra weight. Friends the pressure will never go away for us to stand and give an account of what and why we believe. It will only grow stronger and with greater pressure to declare our faith and trust in Christ. Some of us are too weak to do that alone; they need our help to speak forth the truth, and it is our job as a brother or sister to help them do so. Spread your wings dear ones and proclaim your Lord and Savior today!
May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
