BECOMING REAL IN OUR FAITH
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
This is a subject that I have often dealt with through the years, but in all honesty, it needs to be repeated from time to time. It deals with HONESTY IN CHRIST, and I fear that the majority of Christians who are claiming Christ are either lying about how they really feel about God, or they are trying to pull some kind of trick on God in thinking that somehow they can squeak through by cheating on their commitment to Christ. That seems at first to be brutal and in your face, but all we have to do is look around us at the real commitment we have seen from those around us when it comes to their faith to see there is something very wrong.
There is no doubt a massive difference in the words we use with one another and in the kind of life most Christians actually live. If we are ever to become real in Christ that tendency has got to change and change dramatically before we will ever be seen as real to the world around us. Most of you have heard these words in several different ways from me over the years, but I want to take a moment to repeat this teaching from the Spirit.
For some reason, we insist on trying to change the message that Christ has delivered to us to fit into our own desires to live our own way. It is the message that Christ brought from the Father to mankind that we need to first pay great attention to. That message was that God has loved us as His creation so much that He does not want any of us to perish so God sent a part of Himself down to take on human form and live among us to show us how we could be with Him just as Adam and Eve were before sin. The simple truth is that if we will follow this message and demonstration in life we will be saved from the mistake that we made. We cannot change anything within that message or create ways around it through our own set of doctrines or rules made, and we must follow the complete spirit of what God has said to us. The big part of all of this message is that we have to change from the creatures we are right now to become transformed by the renewing of our minds and our heart toward God. We are the ones that have to change; and not God. That concept has been set in stone literally for us by God Himself and will never change.
That message has many conditions in it for seeking that transformation, and they are very basic and straightforward always. We have a tendency to be like the Scribes and Pharisees in that we are constantly looking for loop-holes where we can have our own way and still claim the benefits of being attached to God for our safety. The problem is that we contract with God to exchange our hold on this world for the promises that God has made to us. That contract tells us "If we will believe in Him with our whole heart He will give us all that we need to be able to complete this transformation process. We cannot do that unless we are completely truthful with ourselves and with God.
There are many things that Jesus has shared with us that are essential to helping us with that process that I need to revisit for some people. For some of you, these recounts may help you to share God more clearly with those whom God has called you to speak with or perhaps mentor in some way so I want to take the next blog for this week to go over some of them through the Spirit's teachings.Ther is both a great love and a great warning given to us to not change this message, and how we should approach dealing with the truth of what it tells us ..we are the greatest among God creation achievements in His mind and He wants to keep us with Him, but the choice is ours. What is your choice? Join me in the next blog where we will begin to go over these simple foundations from Christ. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
