WHAT IS A REAL CHRISTIAN?

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

There are many different types of people who call  themselves Christian today, but who among all of these people does God look at as His Children?

I believe that we all know the basics of our faith...at least most everyone who come to read these blogs should by now.  There is a deeper issue at work here than just accepting one another and loving one another.  It is more than simple faith or forgiveness...it is obedience to the word that God has given us to live by.  It is a daily giving of ourselves as a living sacrifice to God through His Spirit and not living by our own will any longer.

Every morning of my life I have to get out of bed and start to pray for God to use me that day for His own pleasure.  In that way I can understand why Paul said that he was a bond-servant to Christ.  Because we have been saved from ourselves by God's grace to offer us the sacrifice of His own Son we owe Him everything we have ...not just with word, but with every breath we take from the point of accepting that gift and for the rest of our lives here.  When we begin to think in those terms it becomes much more serious for us to make that decision to follow Christ because we now understand what He is asking from us.

My dear ones the days where we simply could walk and talk Jesus to our friends in safe places has ended...we must live out the Gospel in our every day moment to moment lives, and not just because we want to be a witness to someone else in public and be our true nature in private.  That is hypocrisy! an we need to get rid of the thought of it because it is what damns us in God's eyes.  There is a point where we can no longer use the excuse "I am just human" because Jesus was born as a man as well.  My point in all of this deals with the truth about who we are and what we really believe; not just what we say.

As I look around in all of our churches I can get a good idea of who really wants to believe to the point that they can have any real power of the Spirit within their lives, but I can also see something that is really missing from the greatest majority of people as well...even those who have faith.  That is the obedience to do as God has asked us to do every day of our lives as servants humbling them selves before God, and asking Him to use them in what ever way He wants to in their day.  I know that we all have lives that we must take care of as well, but what in our life is our first priority?  Before we have that first cup of coffee, or take that shower in the morning isn't there something that we need to square away for the day?  We should consciously have our mind set as to who we are and where we belong in the scheme of life before we put our shoes on and walk out ours door into this world, and that is our relationship with God our Father.  If we dare to give God that kind of priority in our lives then our lives will begin to change...we will begin to be transformed, and unless we are transformed by the renewing of our mind and heart we will never enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
