HUMILITY...A LOST ART

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

The different areas of our lives that have always easily portrayed Godliness are rather quickly vanishing throughout the world.  People are very quick to anger, and become defensive over the smallest things. People are quick to judge and label others, quick to speak and very slow to listen.

I have been very upset by the tendency for this behavior as I see it around me in society, and yet I know that it must be that certain Godly attributes will pass from this world before Christ returns again, and I simply look upon this to be yet another sign that must take place before Christ returns. 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 tells us that these emotions and these gifts from God will begin to fade away except for Faith hope and love, and the greatest of these things is love.  The teachable person is disappearing from this world; the humility of someone to listen to anther's words and take any interest in someone besides self is waning from our world.  The desire for men to hear the truth from God's Spirit is getting more difficult all of the time in this country because our hearts are being hardened toward one another and toward God as well...even within the church.

Jesus has already warned us that when we see the abomination that causes desolation standing in a place where it should not be then we should flee to the mountains.  I believe for this country we are seeing that very thing right now. Matthew 24:15-24 marks very clearly what we see happening within this country.  I look for many to say they are God as they narcissism grows even worse in time, and I believe that this country is in for a great persecution of Christians from powers that be right now unless things change....and I mean change dramatically.  While I do not wish to be political in any way unless the Christians take a stand and turn this country around we are all lost, and most certainly this country is lost for Christ.  The sad things is that because of the apathy of people over this we are all at fault.

There is so much left to do in trying to turn the lives of ourselves around for Christ...we must realize that unless we are persuaded we will never make any difference in the lives of anyone else around us.  I find myself making this kind of plea all of the time now to turn from who we have been and become new creatures in Christ Jesus.  It is my prayer that we will do this soon. May you richly bless God through your live in Him.
