ONE ANOTHER
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
In many ways over the last few weeks I have been encouraged by what I have seen in our small worship family. We have had the desperate need to open up to one another and begin to show unity in Christ. Last Sunday Morning in our prater room we began to see that in the numbers of people who were a part of it, the prayers that we all shared , and the presence of the Holy Spirit felt there.
For the first time since we have started we are coming together with a purpose of unity as the word tells us in Romans 14;1-15:13. We have a tremendous number of people who have battled addictions in this life, and who have always felt as though they were outside of the normal crowd of people who loved and served God. These people are starting to open up and accept one another as equals in their faith. Paul was dealing with a problem at the time of what could and could not be eaten. At that time people were often forced to eat only vegetables out of fear of not obeying a law. God has opened us up to partake of every good thing that He has made. It is only the traditions of men that has limited us in this life. Romans 14:1-12 tells us to not judge one another unless we want to be judged by the same rules we use to judge...Romans 14:13-23 tells us not to hinder one another from the paths we have taken toward God. While Paul is dealing with food here these key words about judgment and hindrance are always vital to understanding the mind of God concerning one another. God wants for all of us together to imitate Christ; thus we bring ourselves into a state of unity of heart and mind that cannot be touched by this world
Romans 15:1-13.
When we begin to have a heart for one another we will find much about our love for our brothers and sisters that we never had seen before...the facts are that we are not alone in the struggles we have; we are surrounded by others like ourselves that understands our difficulties, What brings us strength is often time sharing our weaknesses...Paul told people when he was at his weakest point is when God was at His strongest. When we deal with those things that have all but destroyed our lives together we too become stronger in dealing with life.
God calls us to Himself through the power of God's Spirit who dwells within each one of us to make that connection...that link with one another. If we do that then we have a chance to also make that vital connection together with God. Becuse of that connection to God we can begin to feel the true power of the Holy Spirit at work within us as a unit. Let the Lord continue to bless us as we open up to one another in Christ. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
