GIVING AN ACCOUNT ( BALANCING LIFE)

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ:

What does it really mean to give an account for what and why you believe?  I can tell without any doubt that most of us have believed in things that have been told to us by someone else.  In particular most of our Christian lives we have been told what we should believe without sitting down and doing much research on it for ourselves.  That kind of thing can be very misleading if only from a stand point of not hearing what is said in a right context or not understanding it at all.  Jesus asked us to take the time to understand ourselves and our motives for what we do a little better before jumping to a conclusion of belief.  He told us to take an account before we start to build our faith because it does have an expense to it, and He does not want us to run out of materials before we are finished building.

As an example have you ever thought about what it would take in your life to shake your faith that we claim so much to have?  The enemy certainly has, and it is at those weakest points where he will attack your life.  We are prone toward weak points in our life that we try to hide from others rather than to strengthen them.  Paul said that he found that when he was at his weakest is when God was at His strongest in his life.  The real difference is in testing our faith, and building our belief based upon actual experiences in life.  There is no other way to make your faith real to your everyday life.

We give an account of what we actually believe through our change in reaction to the world around us.  We do the actual research ourselves in proving that what God has told us is true to our lives.  In the actual experiences we have had in trusting God's word and seeing that word come alive for our own lives we grow faith and strength in our beliefs in Christ to hold in trust all that we have committed unto Him.  If you really believe in something I have found it will not be long before that belief starts to enter into your conversation with others as well.  That is especially true of the good things that we experience. We experience things as well through speaking and studying with others because we get different view points on the same scripture that we can then sit and reason together.  Seeking various interpretations from others will open our minds for God to enrich our faith; it does not mean that one has to be right and one must be wrong, but that God has put more than we can fathom into His word...so much so that we will never begin to understand the complete meaning of it.  As we all begin to understand that which is within us from God we will get a better sense of His power to help us understand and speak forth the truth in our hearts.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
