TRANSFORMATION...salvation or obedience?

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus:

The biggest thing that we will ever have to deal with is the real and serious decision we will make in our heart to follow after God.  Unfortunately there are many who start to follow after God but whom never gets out of the gate in the process of growth in God's Spirit because they have no one to teach them the truth.  When we come to Christ we have a willingness to listen and to be changed from the person we are into a new creature that fits into God's Kingdom, but very soon if we are not very careful we can be given information that does nothing but hurt our chance to be transformed on an on-going basis.

I cannot say this enough...the body that we are in right now is not what God is interested in saving; it is the precious gift of Spirit that resides within us as mankind that God is interested in.  We have already been created to be with God, but the process of our transformation is found in the changing of our mind and heart toward loving God as He has loved us.  Our transformation of Spirit has been totally cut off from the salvation experience by the modern Church, but in truth it has everything to do with our obedience to God's commands, and that has everything to do with our salvation after accepting Jesus as our Lord.  I have a feeling that there are not many today who are daily rising to ask God what His insight is for that day in their life...Jesus did every day of His life.  As I understand God's Kingdom more I see the real difference between those whom have taken seriously the His promises and His desires for their lives and those who just come to Church every Sunday and sit in a pew.  It makes me think quite a lot about the words that Jesus used in Matthew about those who call Him " Lord Lord" on that day.  I think about those whom have used well the connections they have made with those in the Church for their business ventures yet who have not used those skills to help the poor or needy in the church.  So much of the Spirit of God that could and should be evident within the churches of today are laying dormant because of the lack of transformation in the hearts and minds of Christians.

We must some how realize that God's Kingdom is not based on a politically correct format, and that we all cannot have everything that we want. God's will is the supreme objective in His Kingdom.  It is God's will that sets the choices that we have and it is we who must humble ourselves to that will.  It is a shock at times to my mind when I realize just how small and insignificant I really am to to God, and how little control I really do have even in this life.  This world has lied to us so much about this basic need for rights and control over our lives but in the end it is the biggest illusion that we have as mankind to think that we have any control over our destiny at all other than to choose God or self.

The thought that we are the captains of our own destiny is one of the most false ideas we could have...and it has been taught and fostered within us all of our lives.  Many of us who are getting older now still remember a time when respecting, love and honor for our country and our government was a top priority...we were loyal because of our love for America.  Many people do not even remember what that feeling is like today because we have been destroyed with self worth.  The word of God tells us to watch out for that concept of conforming to this world...this physical place.  Romans 12:2 " Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is...His good, pleasing, and perfect will"  God always wants for us to test Him as He tests us so that we can know without any doubt what the real truth is.  Are you willing to do that today?  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
