REALIZING WHAT YOU MAIN JOB IN LIFE IS
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ:
It is a very liberating feeling to wake up each day to realize that my main job is to make my mind up on that day as to what I will feel in my heart about God. It makes the other things that I have to do in priority to that so much easier when I know that that is first on my list of needs to be met.
We are all here for a purpose, and that purpose is fairly simple and universal, and it involves that decision produced at some time and point in our lives. After that decision is made the point for our physical life in this world is to be a witness to that decision. That witness is either for God or it is against God. If we make a decision for God we can then go on to grow and produce so much more within us than we ever thought possible. I think it is interesting how even without the help of the world we can become what God needs for us to be in the eyes of this world. Look at the fishermen who spent three years under the teaching of Jesus Christ, and how they impacted this world. No education, and yet they were men taught by the power of God's Spirit I think that when I speak about producing and growing in the Spirit I really mean to simply finish the process of committing to what we say that we believe. 2 Timothy 4:7 found Paul writing about "Finishing" the course he had set for his life in Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 10:31 Paul says " Whatever you may do, do all for the glory and honor of God".
For those who do not choose God your life for a time may not be affected, but the day will come when your very soul will scream out within you to find peace...but you will not find peace without God. I know this because I tried to ignore God for a time in my life too. I could never deny Him or His existence because even in those years He had a claim on my soul that I could not deny. We may live as though we are free of this sort of thing, but we are never free of the responsibility of choice. Sooner or later that choice comes back either to bless us or to haunt us.
Every day we become examples to those around us of what we have committed life to, and while we may fill most of our life with family and work there are still empty moments and time that we cannot find comfort in. We all bear witness to something within our lives that bears the truth of who we really are inside. That truth will continue to grow within us until at some point it cannot be hidden any longer. In fact we are speaking in church this Sunday about the Mustard seed. The facts are that it is one of the smallest seeds found and it still grows to be one of the strongest and biggest of trees. It is much like the truth that we try to hide within our lives. Most Christians have never really explored what it really means to seek after God. We have never really until now been challenged to but the only way that we can keep close to God is by continuing to seek after Him. In fact most Christians today have never even explored the various ways we can pray...it has very little to do with going somewhere quite and bowing on our knees, but mostly to do with humbling our hearts, and that is much harder for most of us than we may think. The word tells us to pray without ceasing...some places are easier to pray in than others like a crowded street corner is not as easy to pray on as being in a quiet Forrest surrounding and yet we can still seek after God in both places. Seeking after God begins with communicating with Him, and allowing Him to communicate to you. We pray not with just the words we speak, but with the ways we receive them, and in order to have a good relationship with God we have to speak and also listen. When God is at work within us communication goes so much deeper than we may think because God runs so much deeper within us than we realize. I will be dealing with all of this in the week to come. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
