CONSIDER THAT FROM WHICH YOU ARE MADE

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

We continue to focus on this physical part of us when ever we deal with the parables of Jesus.  God has used as many of the things around us as is possible to grab our attention and thoughts toward the Kingdom of Heaven.  In the social world that Jesus was a part of the concentration upon the farming and growing of food was the greatest thing on the minds of people.  Jesus entered  our world in a time that was perfect for Him to relate the Good News that God wanted for us to have.  I am so glad that Jesus did not enter this world now as a baby...He would have probably not even have made it to birth because of the evil of abortion.  In fact the tremendous concentration upon the abortion of babies was the enemies first response to the birth of Christ Jesus.  All that the enemy of God can do is to respond  to God's plan by the manipulation and influence of this physical world.  It is that realization that makes me as " Who are we at the very core of our being"?  Because of this sinful world are we more like Lucifer if given the chance?  If we are then the safest thing for God would have been to place us where He has until He knows the intent of our heart.  We need to look at the truth of where we are right now, and what our created situation is.  If we consider that from which we are made we would see several things that undeniable truths.
1. We are physically made from prison dust.  That could very likely be the reason that God is no respecter of persons...at least physically.  The very ground that we are made from in this world is of no great value to God; therefore in our efforts to deal with physical healing of these bodies we are in cased within in a sense we waste our time.  What we must begin to see is the tremendous focus needed on transforming the mind and heart of people because within that effort we deal with the spirit of men.

2. We say in our efforts to pray that we are asking for God to cleanse the temple in which our spirit's are held, and yet the body has so little to do with the condition of the soul inside.  If our physical bodies had anything to do with the quality of our souls inside we would all have reason to strive to look perfectly healthy on the outside instead of changing the inner parts of our life first.  I can actually look around me and testify to the millions who suffer with various physical conditions, and yet whose spirit is walking with God, and yet I can see so many who physically are in great health who do not have a clue as to who God is.

3.  If we are indeed sent into this life to test our hearts intent toward God...and that follows the main theme of God's word; we must also acknowledge that Jesus was sent here to help us find God once again by opening up the door to communicating with God the Father again just as Adam and Eve had.  Mankind failed at that the first time so quickly it would make your head spin, and yet God's heart has never changed toward us because of what was housed inside those vessels of clay.  In all of this we must keep in mind the part of our created being that is precious to God, and what is simply cast away materials.

I first started to see this more clearly when I had fought my physical condition for a few years.  I did not want to waste my time and God's time on repairing that which was of little interest to Him.  My body was not the greatest thing I had ever seen so I wanted to concentrate on what meant something to God.  I began to see that all of the parables and the words that Jesus used concerning the Kingdom of God had to do with our growth, and transformation into a new creature.  Very little could I find in the mind of Jesus concerning the body that we dwelt in, and it made me wonder why it was that there was never anything made of any kind of physical perfection...just life within the body like that of Lazarus.  I thought it was interesting that Jesus only put life back into a body, but did not change the body at all.  I began to realize that our preparation for eternity had nothing to do with the decaying vessels in which we were housed, but in the development of the spirit within those vessels.  In many ways the word of God begs us to reconsider the attitude that we have toward our physical desires, and what it is within us that really needs to be healed.  Are we better to ask for a physical healing, or are we in more need of the strength spiritually to stand under what ever pressure is brought on us?

Don't get me wrong I do believe in physical healing, and in God's great love and mercy, but I don't believe God does things for no reason, or just because we pray with the idea of bugging Him until He gives into us.  If we stop to think about it, how childish is that?

Perhaps it is time that we had more open discussions about what we consider to be priorities. The real emphasis should be on that which is eternal within us, and which God has pledged to return for .  I would like to get your comments on this if you would be so kind.  Pray about some of what we speak of this week, and seek His word.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
