WHO ART MAN THAT THOU ART MINDFUL OF him
Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus:
Mankind is a wonderful creation to God, but the question is WHY? In our creation, there has been a constant turning back and forth from God, then to self, and then to God again. There has been an ever greater "tug of war" to win us over to a particular way of thought and living out this life.
I can't help but believe that we have been created in the ways we have for a very good reason, and it has nothing to do with our abilities or grandeur in this world. It all has to do with the simple fact that we have been created here in this life to make a decision. If we go back again to look at the storyline of Genesis we see that God made the world and it was all good, and then He made a man who was the epics of His creation. In Genesis chapters 1-11 we are given a history of what happened with man throughout some thousands of years. We see the result of God's good creation going sour as a result of sin and trying to overreach self to be like God. We find God sweeping away His creation with a flood with a new beginning only to watch mankind only to end in the folly of Babel, and the division and dispersion of mankind into the nations of this world.
What makes us so important to God that He would put up with us as a creation for so long? It is because of His love for the pure creation of us in His own image, and the determination to create around Him a family that He can count on at all times. He wants companionship that is trustworthy and loyal to Him out of their love for Him, but this love must be pure and it must be tested and tried to meet His personal satisfaction. That kind of love cannot be found in the rest of His creation no matter how perfect it is. The angels cannot give love out of free will because they have not been created with free will, not in the same ways we have it.
We are the only part of His creation that reflects back on Him as being in His image, We have been given His emotions and intellect to think and reason. It is we who are designed to choose the life that we want to live, and it will be a choice either self or of giving self away out of love for God. Self and self-wisdom leads to death, for we will continue to live, but without God's protection and favor. If we choose to give away self to God out of our love for Him He then can trust in that love and we will be with Him, and we will enjoy life beyond measure. I want for us to take a closer look at who we are to God, and in doing so try to find out more about who God actually us to us.
There has been quite a lot of study done on the basic principle of God and man, and yet our real understanding of God's heart and reasoning behind what He does makes us look rather silly. I for one would like to understand the person of God more so that I can understand me more. What are the drives to discover new things all about, and what is the payoff for all that we try to achieve in this life? I want to dig into the source of what this life is all about so that I can begin to see the purpose in what I go through in this existence. DON'T YOU? As we begin to get into some of this we need to pray for His Spirit's wisdom to teach us. I want for you to be thinking some about that as we find out What art man that God is mindful of us? May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
