CUTTING OFF THE STRINGS

GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:

Much has been said in deeper spiritual circles about the need for us to cut away the strings that have bound us to so many divisions within the church.  I have to agree with the concept of cutting away the control and the dogma that has caused us to deny fellowship with anyone outside of our denominational background, but I need to remind you that we are tied to Christ, and we do not want to allow ourselves to be confused about the foundations of our faith as we seek that freedom from the control these things have had on our fellowship with one another.

We are like-minded and of one accord because of Christ dwelling within our hearts, and not in spite of Him.  We are brought together through the sheer power of God's reasoning within us.   Our entire life is built around the tremendous truth that Jesus is the Messiah; the Son of the living God.  The times are coming, and for many are already here when we will be challenged in ways we never thought possible to maintain our faith in Christ.  The enemy will do all he can to separate us from fellowship with one another because he knows the power that is hidden in that simple act of obedience from us in the Spirit.  I believe that the age of small groups of people who are committed to Christ will be forced to come together and worship; not necessarily as a church body, but in Spirit and in truth in the way scripture describes the ways that worshipping God should be.

It is important that we begin to seek out those around us who are of like-minded faith and love for God and then seek out the truth together through coming together with scripture and reasoning these things out.  It is time that we begin to get serious about our relationship with God beyond going to a church service and letting someone else seek God on our behalf.  Other people can pray for us, but we need to learn how to pray for ourselves and for God's Spirit to change us...to create a new person within us that becomes responsive to His call.

My dear one we may seem small and insignificant on a worldwide basis, but our strength is in who we can touch that stands right next to us, and who is feeling more lost and alone than we can imagine. Our life is tied into the thousands of other lives around who claim Christ as Lord and yet who do not know how to access His power within their heart to change.  Most of those people we can see around us are beaten down by life and overwhelmed by the circumstances they endure.  For many of them, our life becomes their hope.  You did not realize perhaps that no matter who you are you are someone's
hero.  It is your life that they pattern their own from, and it is your life in Christ they see as their glimmer of life to continue to try to go on for tomorrow.  We owe it to one another to begin to reach out to those around us who we may never have even thought about influencing before to see how much more we can give to them. we need to reach out to the child of God we know and love to fellowship more closely or to start an accountability group with them or a study groups so that both of you can benefit.  It  is time to worry about nothing and yet pray about everything within our lives because Jesus is coming soon Praise God!  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
