WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT The message/or the messenger

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

It is important for us to take the time to speak to you about this subject because there are many people who are trying to follow God through the worship of both things and people. In many cases, they place these objects in between themselves and their relationship with God without ever realizing it.  When that object or person fails them they are often shaken in their faith and belief in God, and many fall away from the relationships they have had in a church body.  These separations are also manipulated by the unseen spirits, the powers, and principalities that are spoken of being in heavenly places

I want to address the idea of what we use to find the reality of God in our lives for a moment.  All of us tend to lean toward some physical form of relating to Christ as a Christian. We may wear a cross like the one I have around my neck, or we may identify with a place or object, or even a person that we admire greatly. On the surface that isn't a bad thing at all because we want to constantly remember who Christ is and what He has brought to our lives.  Since it is our nature to cling to something we can relate to physically we often put our trust in objects as well.  That includes people and the opinions they have.  Jesus tried to warn us of this practice in that He wanted the message that He had given to be the most important thing of all.  When we think of something like Communion, which we may celebrate every Sunday, we find that the whole purpose of that act was to bring our thoughts back to the message that He had given to us.  Jesus literally said to His disciples "Believe what I tell you is the truth; if you don't believe my words then believe through the signs and miracles I have done that I am sent from God " He wanted more than anything else that the GOOD NEWS that He had been given by God the Father be spread throughout this world. While the messenger

we choose to believe in is important it becomes the message that is delivered that is the most important of all.
So what do we do with this message? How do we participate in spreading this word from God? It starts by allowing God's word to us to take center stage instead of using an act done to help us worship God.  Let me give you an example of what I mean: we can quote the Lords Prayer, or we can live the Lord's Prayer out in our daily lives.  Which one of those things do you think God is more interested in having us do?

We can quote scripture or we can live it out in life, and in our heart, we already know the answer that God would have us give to the question of "What is the most important" to Him?

Dear ones there are many choices that we have to make in this life but I can tell you from personal experience that making a decision to follow the true words that Christ alone taught us is the most important decision I have ever made.  While I understand the value of Pauls teachings to the church and the great value of unwrapping some of the teachings from Christ to keep people centered, I will only teach Jesus own words as the Gospel because He is the one whose words and life have brought God's message to us.  It is Jesus who has laid down the foundations of our faith that we might build upon it.  How deep will you go with these words of Jesus?  Will we live them out or will we memorize them so that we can sound good to one another?  The methods we use to teach the word can change, and the ones teaching can change, but the word never changes, and the truth never changes. We come to the realization that these words are true through the life and ministry of Jesus Christ sent to us by the Father out of His love.  That example shows us what these words of truth mean, but they are just words until we allow them to become a part of who we are as men and women.  I pray that you have seen this in the last few blogs. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
