WHAT IS THE PART OF US THAT IS WORTH SAVING?
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
When I think and pray about this subject I must admit that I surprise myself with my own physical reaction to the answers I come up with. When I hear the words from people that tell me " Our bodies are the temple of God" it makes me wonder if any of us really know the purpose and the duty that we have in making that proclamation? Our human bodies are only involved in the holding of our spiritual essence in this physical place. The real temple that God refers to God dwelling in is in our spiritual creation. That really has very little to do with the physical body we dwell in here. That has never been made more clear to me when I see those who are in broken bodies through the ravages of disease or misfortune, but who still remain capable of making a decision spiritually about their relationship with God.
It is way past time for us to begin to understand the real reasons we have been put in these bodies and placed on the surface of this planet from the beginning. Most people's eyes kind of glaze over when we begin to speak about the obvious purposes for us being placed as a combination of both creature and spirit in this physical place. We speak in terms always of God coming to take us home as being some kind of event where our bodies are transformed as we physically meet Christ in the air at His Second Coming, and yet His purpose in coming to claim us has never had anything to do with our physical bodies, but rather the Spirit that resides within our bodies.

There are a huge number of people who have become caught up in the trap that puts enormous emphasis upon the various gifts of the Spirit that deals with this physical body, and yet when Christ speaks concerning the well being of someone His first concern is the spiritual wellbeing and not the physical health. We spend an awful lot of time worrying about our bodies; what we wear, what we eat where we live; but all of that is I believe, not God's first concern for us while we live in this condition called mankind. The more I study the word the more I am convinced that God's greatest desire is for us to believe in Him and to choose Jesus Christ as our Savior. It is that decision that will change the very essence of who we are as a created spiritual child of God so that we can begin our growth in understanding what God has meant all along by His plan of Salvation. When we speak about the Temple of God we are talking about the spirit within us that presently abides within our physical body. It is that spirit within us that needs salvation and healing, not the clay container it has been placed in temporarily. Only when we begin to understand that will we understand why we have been given the gifts of the Holy Spirit in this world.
The second area of this we need to be aware of is that what we consider to be the creation of our world is only the facade that has been placed on top of an already created prison that was prepared for the fallen angels and Satan. With all of the discoveries that have been made we have not even begun to scratch the surface of the world, we live on to find out what is below us. We don't understand that this place already had a purpose before we were created, and when you think about it, those who reject God are already on the surface of the prison and eternity they will have to endure because of their rejection of God. It is those who God has come to redeem that will be taken to be with Him.
When God's perfect plan is finally revealed to all it will make perfect sense as to why God has done things this way. I just think it is important that we have a little more spiritual insight about what is going on all around us right now. It is God's desire that we all come to a fuller knowledge of Him, and it is my prayer that we have made you stop to think and discuss with others the true intent of God's heart. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
