WHAT IS GOD SAYING TO HIS CHURCH?

  Greetings in the name of Jesus:


In the early years of the church, we have Apostles like Paul who wrote prolific letters to the whole church which was spreading throughout the known kingdoms and cities of this world.  The message began with the idea of trying to prove to the Jewish Nation that the Messiah had indeed come.  Up until that time 400 years had passed between the last prophesies of the Messiah and the beginnings of the church, and I make not that this is a longer period of time than the United States has even been in existence.  By the time the church had been established in the beginning, there had been a genealogy of some 2000 years of a promise given to Abraham by God that his seed would be more plentiful and prosperous than the grains of sand on the seashores.

  My point here is that in God's timing we are right on schedule, and even though we are completely lost in the overall plan that God has made for us His church, He knows that we are active and doing His will.  We don't see the church as God sees us; we think of ourselves as a small cell group of people meeting to give God praise and glory on a Sunday morning, and we forget that there are millions more gathering within their own small groups who are doing the same thing as we do and thinking as we do that we are the only ones that God is listening to or dealing with...but we are not.

 When we speak about the gifts of the Holy Spirit being used or not used we are not thinking of the full scale of who we are in God's eyes because all of the gifts of His Spirit are very much at work in the church as a whole, but not all in the same place.  Right now there are spiritual gifts being used just as they were in the time of Christ to lead people and to show them the miracles that He once did to draw people to listen to the gospel.  Because of that thousands of people are receiving Christ.  It is because they do not have Satan's distractions to cloudy their judgment. We need to recognize the fact that in spite of all of the negative that we see around us God is prevailing to those who are willing to listen.

  The real truth about who we really are to God is still being revealed to us, and while we see people who are rejecting the message given to show us the way to real life there are millions who are still coming and being drawn by His power within us.  Each one of us is a part of that working and living body, and each of us has a purpose for God to work through us to do something that is beyond our own ability.

We do not stand alone when we seek these divine appointments from God, because He is directing our pathway as we give ourselves over to Him.  The Holy Spirit will guide what we say and how we say it the best way we can without rehearsal.  When I look out into this world I see a field white with grain and ready for harvest, but we need a people who can go beyond the commitment to their small group of believers to reach out into the community where they live and work to allow God the control of what they do and say.  God is calling us again to realize the power we have when we stand within Him as one body.  I do believe there is a great revival coming, but it is not in and for this world, but within the church itself as we begin to realize that we are not contained in one small body or one place.  We are not limited to what we can do, but to what God wills to do through us for His glory and honor.  We simply need to recognize the fact that we have brothers and sisters all over this world who can access the gifts and do the miracles that Jesus spoke of, and we have the abilities that are given to us as well to teach, baptize and teach.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
