WORRY BRINGS US WRINKLES IN LIFE

GREETINGS IN JESUS NAME:

It is very rare for us to talk about self in terms of what it would be like to be carefree in today's society.  It almost seems like we must put our heads on a swivel to watch for all of the things that can bring us worry about self, family, and life.  It seems like we can never avoid worry in this life without having enough faith placed in what God's word tells us about His power to overcome anything that this life can throw in our way.  We tend to dwell on the things that could go wrong so much that we mess up the things that are right now in our lives.

Luke 12: 22-31 is Christ's own teachings on dealing with the ways our planning could go wrong in life instead of allowing God's Spirit to handle the details.  In the end, the worry is pointless because it can not fill any of our needs.  Worry becomes just another tool used by the enemy to distract us from allowing God to shine a light of truth through us to the world around us.  This kind of behavior causes wrinkles in our life.  When we look into the mirror and see the life we produce do we see a refreshed youth that should be there from a spirit within us that has been rejuvenated by the power of God; or do we see an embattled soul that is producing unused fruit that looks like the fruit that is wrinkled and rotting after two days from the store?  God knows our needs as His child, and He will always provide us with ways to do His will.  What we need to understand is that not everything that we want meets our needs.  Seeking after the Kingdom of Heaven means that we are continuously making Jesus the Lord of our lives.  Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God need total control of our lives in every area-your work, play, plans, relationships.  Can I ask you a question?  Is the Kingdom of Heaven your only concern or is it just one of many different concerns in your life?  Are you holding back from God any of the areas of your life that you know should be in His control?

Are we seeking God with our whole heart, mind, and soul?  Are we focussing on God's will for our lives or are we worrying so much it is causing wrinkles in our life?  I know that I don't have to dwell on that thought too much because I think everyone can pick up on the parts of our life that this relates to. Are you bringing fresh fruit from God working in your life or do you use so many chemicals to produce your fruit with that by the time to offer it to God it has wrinkles and is rotting?  Go back and read the words of Jesus to His disciples in Luke 12:22-31 then put your life in that scripture to see where you fit.  I know when I did I found myself really lacking in many areas of my life.  It is my prayer that we all can come to terms with just how little control and power we really have over life, and how much we need to hook our future to Jesus Christ to handle the details so that we worry less and produce more in the Spirit.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
