GOD'S MESSAGE ABOUT OUR BURDENS
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Our Burdens can be so strong that we can no longer carry them. Sometimes it is because of sin, and sometimes it is because of our own pride in not allowing someone else in to help with what we cannot handle on our own.
On one hand, I have been reminded that the Prodigal Son that Jesus taught about had no rights to claim anything from his father, but it was his father's heart that remained open to him when he was still far away that changed the situation. God's love for us never changes in that He continues to watch and wait for our return to Him. It is obvious that not only does God love us but He misses us so badly that He waits and watches for us to be in His presence again. God waits for us to realize that while we are working and toiling in a pig pen in a foreign land somewhere we still have a home with Him if we will only swallow our pride and come home.
It is these things which are hidden from the world around us, and when we mention this kind of love to those of this world it is rejected because it makes no sense. Matthew 11:25-30 Jesus teaches us:
" I praise you, Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and have re4vealed them to the little children. Yes, Father for this was your good pleasure. All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except for the Father and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heat, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
In truth, this is the same thing that God is saying to us when we are still far away from His presence..." come to me and let me help you with those things that have become too heavy for you to carry alone". All of these things that I have been writing to you come together in one central thought of being one with God, and one with one another through Christ. We may be burdened with the idea that no one is listening to us, but we must understand that God's word is nothing but gibberish to the world; it is an unintelligible language that has no meaning to them because it does not fit into a physical worldview. The word of God must be demonstrated in front of others before it can attract their attention. That means that what we do in life speaks so loudly that people can not hear what we say most of the time. We will not convince this world that God is important to happiness in this life without demonstrating it to the world, but it cannot be demonstrated by loving the world. It must be demonstrated by our love for one another while we live in this world, and yet are not of this world. You see my friends this world will simply take what we give them and think we are being silly to give them everything we have for nothing, but if they see what a Godly reaction to a gift is they will see a light burn brightly among people that they have never experienced before, and the Spirit can draw them closer to see what is going on. It is only when the Holy Spirit draws people to Himself that we should be there to minister to them otherwise we are wasting resource and time.
