THE SIGNS OF SALVATION
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
It is rare for us to really get into a deep discussion concerning the signs we need to look for in someone who claims to walk with Christ, but I believe that in today's world we need to revisit what we should look for in the Christian life. There are a tremendous number of people today who are making claims to be sent by God to deliver a new message to the church today. There are many who make false claims of healing or of enlightenment from a spirit plain that are simply proven to not be from God so we need to go over a few of the things we know to be true in Christ.
Romans 8: are all brought under Christ's headship2 we are set free from the law of sin and death: There are so many who are tied up in the denominational division today simply because of their need to be tied to a law, and yet Jesus has given us the freedom of worship to personally be drawn to the Father by choosing a format that fits our personal taste and helps us to feel the power of God in our lives
Galatians 3:28 We are one in Christ with all other believers: Instead of the division we are commanded to love one another as Christ has loved us and has given Himself for us. Until we can learn that lesson we will always fail in our relationship with one another.
Ephesians 1:10-11 We are all brought under Christ's headship: If we are really not going to operate under the complete authority of Christ and His teachings we cannot say that we are under His Lordship. That puts us teaching a brand of Christ and not Christ Himself.
Ephesians 2:13 We have been brought near to God through Christ: The problem is that many of us do not stay near to the Father because we insist on our own ways of loving and living out the Good News. We cannot change the foundations that have been placed before us; if we do we have changed that salvation message to put our own name and brand on it.
Ephesians 5:29-30 We are meant to be members of Christ's body the church: That means we should be family to one another in Christ and not clicks of people who compete against one another for popularity
These are only the beginning signs that we should be showing one another in Christ. In fact, I don't believe we can ever truly witness the Kingdom of Heaven to this world without correcting the majority of these things the word mentions we should be to one another and to Christ.
While God wants to have that kind of loving and protective relationship with us it remains our job to stick close by His side. We cannot be protected or loved unless we place ourselves in His care. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
