TAKING THE TIME TO PRAY

  LORD, we need you in a time of confusion and desperation in our lives as your children. We need to know within our minds and hearts that you are there when this world mocks us for our love for you. We need to re-establish your values within our hearts and to replace fear of the future with the faith necessary to be counted as righteousness in your sight as it was with Abraham.

 Father, we seek your will for who you have created us to be among your people, and we seek to humble our lives before you as your family through Christ Jesus our Lord and savior.  We ask that you forgive us our sins of commission and omission and that we can stand before you pure in our heart and mind as we speak to you now.  Help us, Father, to find the strength to be obedient to your word so that you can fill us with the power of your Holy Spirit in this generation to stand and to give an account for who, what and why we believe in your truth that would touch the hearts of men, women, and children we come into contact with in our life's walk.  We know that we are too weak even to stand at times for you, but we know that your light can still shine through us to this world if we will open up our hearts to you.

 Everything that we are as your Child is tied up in our faith in you as the God of the Universe and the creator and owner of everything that is.  We ask that you would begin a new strength within us that would cause a transformation of who we are now into the person that you have purposed for us to be.  We pray, Father, that you would cause our hearts to change and evolve into the person that you need for us to be to fit into your perfect Kingdom.  We ask that you will not let our hearts find peace until we have given over each piece of who we are to you for a complete transformation into the child that you desire us to be.   We ask that you would cause us to influence the leadership of this country to turn back to you and actively stop the enemy from destroying the legacy we have built that formed this nation under your direction. While our hearts are burdened right now with a desire to seek after you help us to complete our task with full knowledge that it only by your will alone that we can be successful.

Help us to stand and to reflect the light that you shine through us so that this world might see a soul who truly believes in your word to us. Help all of my loved ones who come here to share in your word and in your love to be strengthened by your power and glory.  Help us to never back away from our commitment to you or in our faith in what you have given to us through Christ our Lord.  Help us to remember at all times that His blood is the only sacrifice that is acceptable for sin, and help us to cling to that fact with our whole heart, mind, and strength.  Help us, Father, to be one with you, and of one heart, mind and strength in this world with one another.  Help us to love as you have loved us.  Give us what we need to be sustained in our work and ministry to others and our witness for you.  We ask that you put a hedge of protection around all who labor in your name and under your Spirit's power.  We pray these things in the name of  Jesus Christ our Lord and savior...AMEN.
