THE PROCESS OF COMING TOGETHER
GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:
We cannot know when our soul will be required from us, but we all know that day will take place because it is required of us once to die. I believe that physical death of our bodies is due to sin just as much as the various kinds of illness we suffer today is caused by the sinful nature of this world. I don't believe that pain or illness is due to the sin in one's life, but rather to the afflictions of spiritual warfare in this world.
There are all kinds of scriptures that deal with the spiritual battles we each face in life, but there will always be a final result of our choices made. We cannot simply ignore making the one single choice that we are given life to make; which is our choice of God as Lord of our lives or of self because the end result will always be our loss. Luke 12:16-19 speaks of the result of that kind of ignorance in that we can never have in this life a true security no matter what we may accumulate in this life. If we have all of the riches in this world still whose will these things belong to when our soul is required of us?
The one thing I have found that brings us together with one another and with God's Kingdom is sharing the gifts that we have been given out of love with our brothers and sisters who share this life with us. We should begin to realize that nothing that we have in our possession is truly ours in the first place for it was either owned by someone else before us or it belongs to our creator; and not to us at all. It becomes our stress over ownership of various things in this life that forces us to be at constant odds with one another in life. It is only the sense of self that has caused us to be in a world where there is such dangerous need for most and such a glut of things in the life of a small number. I believe if we really wanted to we could end those needs in a very short time simply by giving from the abundance and extra we have in this country ( first with our own countrymen ) and then with the rest of this world; not just as one nation, but as people following the examples of God through your life In Him.st's teachings.
If we look at the examples of Jesus words to us about our worry about self we can see the clearest example of what I mean. Luke 12:22-31 where He tells His disciples to simply quit worrying about their lives. Quit worrying about the body; what you It will come from our abilitywill eat or wear for life is more than food or clothing. Jesus gave examples of the nature around them and how the Father had seen to it that all nature had been fed and clothed naturally without worry or ownership of anything.
I really like this example of kindness being a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see. Music is another very different language that effects all who can hear it, as does art for all who can see. I believe that God's word has built within it the ability to change the hearts of men to take away the effects of selfishness if we can simply love in the way He has loved us.
As Christians, we are put in this world to affect change in the hearts of those around us by exposing others to what it looks like to love one another as much as we love ourselves. When we actually do that we will begin to see changes that we thought we would only see in a Spiritual revival or awakening. It will come from our own awakening to what Jesus said being put into practice in our own life. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
