STARTING OUT WITH AN A+
For the most part we all tend to start out on equal terms, but over time each of us tends to choose different roads to achieving our goals in life. It could be due to many different things that happen to us but it is almost certain we will go about reaching those objectives in different ways. I had a teacher once who told me that we were all starting out in class with an A+ and we would have a chance to keep that grade or lessen it as the semester went along by how well we did. I think that when we come to Christ as our Savior God does pretty much the same kind of thing with us. We are all forgiven of sin and have an equal chance to build a relationship with God through the Holy Spirit, the main difference happens in the ways we treat our commitment to that goal, and how well we stay focused on seeking after God with our whole heart.
As our time continues to pass by us in this life we soon find out how hard it really is to keep our A+ grade level with God. Even those who are innocent of hear will find that staying completely honest with God and with ourselves can be very difficult. All we can really do is ask for mercy and forgiveness as we travel with Christ. While none of us will be able to actually earn that good grade we started with if we travel as close as we can to the Lord of Lords we will be in good hands; for He is our advocate and friend. Our whole relationship is based upon our ability to trust in a God whom we have never physically seen and whom this world constantly is telling us does not exist. The only way we can keep our grade up is by reading the study material ( THE BIBLE) and practicing the lessons it teaches us. We are bound to find out at some point in our lives that our very life is being made up of one lesson after another that we need to learn in this life; and that it isn't so much about the condemnation of having made mistakes along the way, but learning the lesson taught.
We have a Father in Heaven who loves us before we deserve to be loved. He has loved us enough as His creation to offer us a way out of the trap that has been set for us by this world, and the prince who rules it. With every lesson that we learn we are drawn closer to be the person that God has created us to be in heart and in mind. We have a duty to learn all that we can in this life that will enable us to understand love more fully. It is our goal while we are here to learn how to love as God loves. The most important thing we can learn iin this life is that God really does love us, and then to respond to His love by accepting it. From the cradle to the grave our purpose in being given choice has been to learn this one simple thing. I believe that may be the one talent that we are all given when we are born into this life; the fact that we are given that A+ to start with. I pray my dear ones that we can all learn that lesson. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
