THE CHRISTIAN DIET-FORCE FEEDING
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Force feeding sounds like something you would encounter in a hospital setting or a torture situation. We realize that in some cases it may save someones life if they cannot feed themselves through normal means, but what about a situation where a person gets force feed certain foods that will produce certain results in their behavior?
We don't often feel the need to double check our church for the directions they are leading us in for obeying the call of Christ to minister in our community, but perhaps on occasion we should. This does not mean that a church is doing something wrong, but neither does it mean that a church is doing what God had intended for it to do. We can be preaching the gospel each Sunday morning and yet doing very little that we are called to do in our community during the week. Unless we have a vision that we are following we will very likely fail in our calling.
I find that even though we do not say anything about doctrine or the differences between various churches there is still no one who is willing to step up and take a stand toward reconciliation and brother hood in the bodies of Christ we claim to be a part of. The word of God tells us that in order for us to be effective in our work of witness to this world we must be as one in mind and heart. We must be able to bridge that gap that the minds of men has created that has force fed division between us in Christ. As I had said before some of this is due to the ways we are using God's word to teach those who genuinely are coming to Christ for salvation. We tend to pick apart scripture to support our particular doctrines and creeds, and then take God's word out of context to fit the peices together as we force feed this created doctrine of men into the minds of those who are new to Christ. That becomes the same kind of hypocrisy that the Scribes and Pharisees had during Jesus ministry on earth, and I can tell you that He accepts that in the same way He accepted them!
For several years I found myself in a situation where I was called on to be Spiritual leader for a church, and during those years we stayed right with the foundations of our faith in Christ, and yet we still could not get to the point that we became one in mind and heart for the community we were a part of. For the last few years I have tried to go around to various churches to plant seeds of unity in the minds of leadership, which is nearly impossible to do. The most success has been within these blogs to you as I continue to bring these thoughts to you for discussion. The only kind of food we need is the foundations of Christ, and then we can sit down and reason together the things that pop up without the need for dividing ourselves in camps around the community we are in with a brand of Christ being feed to those who are in need.

Father I pray today that we can begin to see the desperate needs we have in becoming one with you as you are one with the Spirit and with Christ Jesus. Help us to see that we are the ones who robs the church of its power to witness to this world by the divisions we cause through our denominational ties. We all need to be in one mind and heart, and allow your Spirit to control us completely. Lord I ask that some how you begin to restore our purpose in you and change the heart of the leadership to see how much we need to come back to the basics of the New Covenant that you have established for us. Show us your mercy Father we pray...Amen.
May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
