PEOPLE OF TRAINED FAITH

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

I am usually disappointed by people who claim to believe, but then complain about having no Spiritual power in their lives.  I find that discipline and  faith comes only from the practice of those things we claim to believe.  If we say one thing and yet never follow through with our own commitment to it then that faith we proclaim to have has no value at all to us or to the person we ever hope to influence to believe.

This is an area where I have had to learn many different lessons in life because I believe that for all of us there are lax times when we simply let our faith stay opened to the outside all to long, and like a soda Pop the fizz simply dissipates, and there is no more life left...no bubble and no excitement.

In every environment there is a spirit that draws people to it.  If love surrounds the people involved like in this scene with "Gram ma's  hair Salon" That spirit is one of love and trust, but in the case of the  Centurion  found in
Matthew 8:10-13 it was a spirit of faith that had been cultivated through the training that He had received in the military. because he knew that is he gave someone under his command an order there was no question that it would be carried out.  Through this knowledge this commander also had faith in the commanding power of Jesus over the spiritual influence of sickness and even death.  He instructed his servant to go to Jesus and ask for that power to be unleashed knowing that He was in charge of all things Spiritual and Eternal and that His word given was enough to correct the situation.  Jesus would not even have to travel any distence at all for His word to be in effect...and so it was for  the Centurian  enough for Jesus to speak the word and it would be done.  For many in the world who have not served in the military this may seem to be extreme faith, and yet for those who have served in particular in a conflict situation we know how vital commands and a chain of command is...it is many times life and death.  My dear friends we need to find a way to be better trained to possess the kind of faith and trust in God's word that we see at work here.  The Grand Ma hair scene is play time for all involved.  We do learn and it does have a good bonding power of fellowship, but it does not strengthen our Faith in an all powerful God who has the Lord ship over all things.  We need that kind of commitment today and we already know how to begin to develop it don't we?  If not then go back into archives of Blogs over the last few weeks...May you richly bless God through yourr life in Him.
