cont: SELF DECEPTION

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

There is very little in this life more deadly than being self deceived by thinking  that we have control over this life.  For the greatest part we are simply a small element of life that is a vast vat of experiences and circumstances we are dumped into like a small cracker in a large bowl of Tomato soup.  We are hopelessly surrounded by this element called life within this physical world and our options are to learn to swim, float aimlessly,or sink deep into  our surroundings.  The more we allow ourselves to be without resistance or protection from these elements the more of it we will absorb until we no longer exist as individuals, but become a part of the mixture.

My point here is that we are all subject to the same circumstances and trials in this life, and it is how we react to what we endure that makes a huge difference in our spiritual growth.  Even though we are all in that same soup we no longer have to become just another ingredient in it.  It all begins when we realize that our life and our existence is not based upon the soup we float in; instead we begin to see that our life and the pureness of what we have been created to be is somewhere else outside the bowl of soup we call reality.  When we begin to understand that we were created outside of these circumstances and then dropped into the bowl of soup for a reason then things change for us.  We were not initially created to be here. We were created to be somewhere different, and yet we have been put here for some reason.  It makes sense to find out what that reason is and do our best to fulfill our purpose here because I am not convinced that this is all there is to life.
Since childhood I have seen things somewhat differently than others. I have always felt and sensed that life went on way beyond what our senses could detect in this physical form. It has always been about what we could not see or touch or hold close to us in physical form that was the most important.

As I have grown up and experienced the various phases of this life I have been able to test the truth within God's word to us, and in each experience , and in each test I have found God's word to be true.  That includes the times I have allowed myself into being deceived for a time in thinking  I could manipulate life to what I wanted it to be by ignoring God's word to me.  Time and time again I found out that His truth in His word to me was pure gold.  While I could never  completely even upon my own thinking and reasoning I could always rely upon God's thoughts , heart and word to me to see me through tough times.

It is then that I realized I needed to find out why God has created me; and why He has seen fit to put me in this bowl of soup!  As I developed in God's Spirit I began to see that my purpose had several areas  I needed to pay attention to. 1. I was put here so that God could find out what I was really made of in the intent of my heart.  He knew that we would all give allegiance to Him if He came right out and asked us.  He needed to know what in our heart we were feeling about Him when we were not standing in His presence ( meaning we couldn't see Him or hear Him).  Would we long to be in the presence of someone who had proven that He loved us more than anything that we could imagine?
Could we bring ourselves to believe His promises to us, and would we even test those promises to prove them true? 2. During my time spent in this soup I needed to make a commitment to God that would be unbreakable to me.  I would be forced at some point in life to deal with my beliefs in God, and in His presence within me, and I had a choice to make.  The thing is that this choice had to be so strong that I would take action on the beliefs I had, and change my own pattern of life to fit into what I knew was the truth about life.  My eyes were then opened to what God needed for me to be in this soup called life.  A big part of it was to stir others around me up to the reality that we don't have to just sink to the bottom of the bowl, but we need to stir things up and give life flavor because we are put here to be seasoning, and truth for  all people to see that God does exist and that His truth is real.

You see when we accept Christ as our Savior God takes us out of the soup and coats us with a protection called Jesus before He drops us back into the mix.  We are in the soup, but no longer a part of the soup.  We are now to be a reflection of God's truth in this life.  We are not the light, but a reflection of the light within us.  God does not want any of us to be deceived from the truth of His word.  For those of you who would like to discuss this topic further contact me...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
