LETTING GOD IN

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

For most of us there is a trust issue at hand with something within our life so it really should not surprise you to find out that given the nature of men and women that you deal with daily; God also has a trust issue with all of us!

The fact remains that God wants to trust what we say more than anything, but He is wise enough to know the result for most people of having self will is that none of us can handle it.  Our track record in being truthful with God is usually not good even at our best day, and so when dealing with us as a creation He must always resort to reading the intent of our heart instead of taking our word.  Unfortunately when the truth about our request is known most of the time the answer to our prayer either changes or there is no answer given at all because our hearts prevent God from even inner reacting with us.  That has become a problem that I am seeing more of all of the time within the lives of Christians; and the fact is we are beginning to lose our contact with the Spirit of God because of our hidden sin, and it has become sin that we refuse to acknowledge.

For a very long time now I have personally been holding in the anger and frustration about the world around me, and while on the surface I  can use all of the terms that we should use in our Christian circles to describe it   I have become so angry on the inside that I have allowed myself to not care about some of those who need prayer and ministry the most.  God's Spirit is trying to open me up however, to the real need of doing something to regain that feeling of unity within the body of Christ at this very hour in History.

I am finding that the answer for most of us is closer to home than we might think...it starts with getting rid of our own developed  sin in our lives through being hurt and angry toward the things that have been happening around us.  I am reminded of many who split in the last few years from other churches because of the dealings of someone who was in charge at the time, but has now gone.  Even though the church remains and the Lord is still at work undeniably there some cannot go back or fellowship because of the pain they felt.  You may have been hurt but you don't have the right in Christ to stay hurt when He has called us to reconcile and be one in mind and spirit as He is one with the Father.  We cannot continue to block that fellowship and love from our lives, but instead we need to work out the reasons why somethings happened and bring ourselves back in line with God's word.  Not only do we need to be loving  about this desire to be one but we need to be aggressive in taming that beast within us   In truth our biggest problem has always been in taming the tongue, and then the emotions that drive us to make snap judgments when we don't know the whole truth.  It is that kind of thing that tears us apart from others who would otherwise continue to be loving members of our fellowship in Christ.  The first place to start is in discussing it to see how much of it exists within our lives; no matter if we have consciously realized it was there or not.  It is my prayer that God's Spirit will use this to get you to think about that part of who you are; and if it is there within you to begin to take steps to change it.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
