WHERE IS JESUS TODAY?
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
WHERE IS GOD TODAY?...This is a question that is being asked more often every time I talk to people. As we continue in Matthew 24:26-35 Jesus continues to share what will take place all around us as the days draw to a close before His return.
It seems like every where we turn we are hearing someone say that have a new piece of information that nails down all events to the return of Christ...and every one of these people claim to have the way to find God. Believe me when I say that no one knows these things for sure, and if Jesus Himself has said that God is the only one who knows the day or the hour for me that puts it all to rest! What we do need to know is what Jesus told us we should be doing and looking for along the way.
We might well have to endure the time of stress that Jesus tells us about called the Tribulation, but I don't know that. We see it coming from afar just like we see lightening from the East to the West in a distance, and so we need to prepare for what we must do as it heads our way. Verse 28 says something that is so true to this world..." Where ever there is a carcass; there the vultures will gather". We see our country in deep trouble today and we can see the vultures already circling around just like carnivores with a wounded prey animal. It is the nature of this world to either be a predator or to be prey. Within this natural physical law of life we find ourselves as Christian people having to make some very disturbing choices about this life verses Eternal life with God. We can see this life is able to be snatched away from us in a heart beat, and we should fear that except for one thing...all these people can do is kill your body once. God on the other hand can give you peace and joy in an eternal life with Him, or He can also take away not only your life but your very soul.
Jesus tells us that immediately after the distress of those days "The Sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give it's light; the stars will fall from the sky and the Heavenly bodies will be shaken" This tells me that what happens before Christ returns will be no fun for this world, and then the world will see the Son of God returning in the clouds as He comes to judge the world. Right now Jesus along with the angels are waiting for God the Father to give the signal. When that time comes there will be no time left to make choices or decisions...they will all be made for us, and if we are not in a relationship with Christ we will be doomed.
This is a difficult thing to speak of and yet we all have to realize that God at some point will close the book on opportunities for us to change our hearts. Today...right now we still have that chance, and I hope you don't miss it. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
